  1. Are there any current or past UDC students that could offer their opinions about its program? The program seems to have some mixed/negative reviews about lack of resources, disorganization etc. The graduation rates don't look too great either, but would love to get any and all input. I have been accepted elsewhere, but the location, clinical focus, and tuition seem like definite pluses. I've found some threads within and outside gradcafe, but they're a few years old so I feel like they may be outdated. Wondering if there's been any improvement or changes since then. Thanks!
  2. For those who have heard back within the online Orion self service portal, where did you find your admission decision? I want to make sure I haven't missed any updates.
  3. FYI - Grad Cafe also has a results section with some of this info: http://www.thegradcafe.com/survey/index.php?q=communication+disorders Congrats to all who were admitted so far!
  4. @phillyslp2b Wondering the same thing. Northern Arizona didn't include financial aid info (when they accepted me, yay!) via email. I followed up and they just sent a generic link for the past year's tuition rates which are subject to change and doesn't give me much to go on for my own tuition. Asked again about more specific financial aid details and hoping to hear back during the business week. It'll be an important factor in choosing a school by April 15th. I filled out my FAFSA already so they should have what they need.
  5. @sardothi3n, I'm trying to figure that out, too! The application itself definitely said you didn't have to mail them until after you get an offer. It's confusing/still waiting on a response from the admissions department to know for sure...
  6. Hi @Meaganm15 - Most schools only require digital copies uploaded through CSDCAS. Some schools (not many from my experience) have additional requirements. To be absolutely sure, just email someone in admissions or check their program's FAQ page. Again, most don't need them mailed as well so you're probably good to go
  7. Try to keep the faith, @Puffer Fish. I think we all question ourselves at times and get nervous. Nobody has it all figured out. In fact, this forum has been both a source of relief and anxiety for me personally. Gotta do what's best for you and sometimes it's hard to even figure out what exactly that is or means. Whether or not you go to SLP grad school, I wish you the best! <3
  8. Update: My total application verification only 6-7 business days even though it's their high volume season. I submitted them on the 13th and 14th of this month and they were all verified today (21st around 1pm). The average is still 2 to 2.5 weeks according to CSDCAS most recently, but was fortunate to be on the lower end/range of that. Hope that helps to calm people's fears! Good luck, everybody!
  9. @ElKel87 I think you're right that there's a different time frame for transcript verification (about one week) and total application verification (about 2-2.5 weeks on average currently). My three transcripts were all verified within 5 business days when I submitted them last month. When I asked the CSDCAS rep yesterday about verification, I was only inquiring about the application submission as a whole, not the transcript piece specifically since mine already came in. Your bio req should definitely be approved with more than enough time good luck!
  10. I talked with a CSDCAS representative today and they said they're averaging 2.5 weeks for verification currently.
  11. Thanks jpiccolo and k_kismet! Those answers make sense to me. Hopefully they read the best of them (or all of them if I'm lucky ) good luck and happy holidays!
  12. Hi all, I am fortunate to have five good references submitting to CSDCAS. I decided to go above the minimum of 3 mostly because there are different requirements for each of my programs (both in # of references needed and the general vibe of the program, some placing more emphasis on experience over academia). I also did this because each one can comment on different parts of my personality, academic, and work experience within different settings. Three are professors that knew me well and the other two are field related managers/supervisors. (I'm an out-of-field applicant academically, but not in work experience.) Anyways that's the background, but does anyone know how the evaluations will be sent to each program? I'm thinking it could be one of two options: -Alphabetical -Order they were received Also, does CSDCAS only send 3 total evaluations if a program requires 3 only, or will it send all 5 even if the program only requires 3? Finally, has anyone experienced or know of downsides to sending more than the required number of evaluations to a program? I wish CSDCAS could let me customize by selecting how many and which letters get sent to what etc. Hoping to get whatever input you guys have. Thank you in advance!
