  1. Drexel or Memphis posters. Could you PM me your POI? Thanks
  2. I suggest asking for a Skype interview or phone interview for either of the schools. I would attend the interview of the school that is your top choice. If one school is willing to offer a phone or Skype interview, then I would accept that offer and attend the other school.
  3. I received an interview invitation from my POI... So there's a possibility that not all faculty have contacted applicants yet.
  4. I had the same problem, but I just went ahead and booked a ticket. I'm flying in the day before and leaving the day after. the email said to make sure im staying the entire interview day. If I would have waited the price of the plane ticket would have increased significantly.
  5. There's another thread http://forum.thegradcafe.com/topic/85665-preparing-for-clinical-phd-interview/
  6. Could the poster for VCU PM me the POI?
  7. That I'm not sure about :/
  8. I am interviewing with two POI's during one of my upcoming interviews. I think it happens sometimes if there are multiple people interested in working with you?
  9. Should I respond to a personal email that is saying I was not invited for an interview? Had a skype interview with POI a few weeks ago and they sent me a really nice and sincere email.
  10. It depends on each school. Sometimes the POI contacts applicants directly, the DCT or admin on behalf with send an email invitation, or a phone call. Each school is different in their application procedures
  11. So it looks like a few people have heard some positive news from grad schools about upcoming interviews starting next month. How is everyone preparing? I know that I did some initial preparation when I was completing my applications, but I'm not too sure where to go from here. Every POI has published material, ongoing grants and recently completed work, lab websites/department biographies... But what is interview day/weekend really about and what kinds of questions should we be preparing for and what questions should we be asking as we are on these interviews? Happy Holidays!
  12. Eastern Michigan University Clinical Psychology, PhD Email from Program Admin Interview Dates: 1/27-28 with alternate day on 1/30 Housing with graduate students and transportation to and from the airport
  13. To whoever posted about U of F can you PM me?
  14. I just heard from a school that is one of my top choices that I wasn't expecting to hear from for about another month (just from previous years invitations) i was told told that I am a top candidate and that I am a high alternate choice for interview day. Is there really any chance that someone won't go for an interview? I don't have high hopes.
  15. For those who have been called for interviews at West Virginia, could you PM your POI? Thanks!
  16. Definitely suit for PhD programs. I'm not considering anything else for my upcoming interviews. For social events you can go business professional/casual. Slacks/skirts with a nice top.
  17. I saw someone received a phone call about a phone interview.. something like that. Doesn't seem like we have similar interests, but good luck with the application process!
  18. Did you hear anything from Memphis?
  19. Oklahoma State University Clinical Psychology Email for interview weekend from DCT. Interview weekend is feb 10-12. Mention of POI on email to know who you will be interviewing with.
  20. Congrats to whoever posted about University of Memphis! Can you PM me your POI? Please and Thanks!
  21. Anyone out there? Asking for a friend ??‍♀️
  22. For those who received interview invitations from UGA, who is your POI? Can send PM. I'm dying over here ?
  23. How did your Skype interview go? Any tips?
  24. Does anyone have any tips for a Skype interview with POI and grad students? I am freaking out! I don't think I can handle interview invitations. I almost passed out receiving one Skype interview.
  25. 25 and I'll be out of college 3 years if I start in the fall. I think it's a great time to start grad school. You've had time to mature and solidify what you'd like to do for your career. I was able to get some really amazing experience in the field for the past 2.5 years, things that only strengthened my application.
