  1. I received my results yesterday, and only got an email prompting me to accept or decline the reward this morning. It seems that there are no email notifications that results are available at all. I never got one this whole time. My score was 16.40 / 20 and I got the Bombardier. Last year I didn't even get past the institutional selection stage, so don't know what my score would have been. Good luck everyone!!! I hope it all comes to a close soon and we can all process what happened without all this uncertainty.
  2. That's quite likely. FRQSC had set a clear deadline for results to be released on April 30th, so probably SSHRC needed to meet it as well for Quebec students.
  3. Yes, that's what I did too. Just kept refreshing every 2 to 5 minutes? It just appeared at 11:40. And got no email yet either.

    FRQSC 2020

Yes, I agree. I will talk about this with my supervisor and see what he thinks and whether he knows what might be behind the lack of extra rounds. It seems extremely weird. I was lucky enough to just receive a SSHRC but for those who don't extra rounds could be such lifesavers.
  5. Same! Just got the CGS-D!! Notified about 5 minutes ago on the Extranet and no email! I am at a Quebec institution and got my login mid-afternoon yesterday. Hang in there everyone! This is a wild ride. I got rejected from the FRQSC just about an hour ago and thought that this was it, no way I would get SSHRC. There is truly no way of predicting this, so don't get too focused on the timing, my impression is that really there is no way of knowing.

Agreed... I don't understand where that money goes...

    FRQSC 2020

I was ranked 8th out of 23 in my committee and there were 6 awards available. Really too bad that FRQSC does not have second or third rounds if someone rejects their award. It seems like quite a few of us might get funded if that was the case.

Just got my letter; didn't get the funded either ? It appeared under the "Visualiser" section. Second year applying.
  9. For all who are wondering about Concordia, their interview day is Thursday the 24th. They are interviewing fewer people than usual this year, less than 15 candidates, because not many labs are accepting new students.
  10. Sent an email to the lady who sent the payment information earlier today, she said she suspended the payment and forwarded my email to someone who can deal with this.
  11. I have the same issue. And they just sent an email indicating that they have sent the money already =.= I indicated in my application that I had a SSHRC, but I guess they didn't see. I will call her soon to ask what I can do.
  12. This happened last year as well, when I applied. It means that a decision has been reached for your application, and it has been posted. But you only get to see what it is on April 1st. They let all applicants access their statuses starting at midnight on April 1st.
  13. I had interviewed at Windsor last year as well, and that was my impression too, based on what I saw and heard from the students and faculty there. They focus heavily on the clinical practice side of things, and their students are very good clinicians by the end of it. Even though it seemed like some faculty there were trying to change things, and put more emphasis on research, overall my impression was that research was not the focus of that program. It seemed as though because of that, most students ended up not receiving external funding. Also, they do not promise funding to you (unless maybe your supervisor has a grant or something and they can afford it). So there is no guaranteed funding from year to year. I think they give you a 7 000$ entrance award in the first year of your masters, and then another entrance award for the PhD, but the rest of the time you get nothing. There are opportunities for TAing though. I was interested in a balance between clinical training and research, and was lucky enough to receive an offer from my first choice later on. If you like research, then Windsor is probably not the best choice. If you're more interested in clinical practice, then Windsor is an interesting option. Try applying at the Master's level, if you don't mind re-doing a Master's. Or try getting some practical experience in a clinical setting, or with vulnerable populations. In my cohort, some people were able to get into the program at the PhD level like that, even though they had a Master's in experimental psychology. I hope it all works out for you! Good luck!
  14. If any of you would like to know the POI's included in those who sent out interviews for the 25th-26th, PM me. I don't know exactly which of them are planning to take new students for next year, but I know who's part of the clinical group and would be interviewing on those days.
  15. So if I understand this right, the bibliography section of the application is basically the references we used in our proposal. Is this right? It's not including anything more, such as additional relevant references to our topic of research right?
