NYC Grad Applicants Fall 2018
futureslp17 replied to slpgirl898's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
Hi guys! I applied to Yeshiva, Touro, NY Medical College, Mercy College, and Iona. Good luck to all! Has anyone interviewed or heard back from Mercy or Iona? Also, when do you think we'll hear back by? -
Hi guys, just wanted to give you my personal experience and hopefully that will help relieve some anxiety. When the apps first opened I manually input my transcript info. Then I had GRE scores sent and LOR (last month). I submitted one application on 12/29 and it was verified within a couple of hours. Hope this helps! Good luck everyone

Seton Hall Application Question
futureslp17 replied to mmm17's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
Hi guys, just letting you know I tried opening the application using safari and it showed the same certificate issue, but you access your application if you click show website. Also, what do they mean by ultimate degree goal? I don't know how specific they want that answer to be... -
I heard their program is 3 years full time, does anyone know if this is true?

Seton Hall Application Question
futureslp17 replied to mmm17's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
I was wondering why it wouldn't let me in! I just emailed and got an automated response that they will be back on January 3rd. -
Hi all! I know some of you are currently FL SLPA. A friend of mine is looking to get her certification, but she is missing a few of the "specific" courses not the foundational ones. Would any of you know any courses that fulfill this requirement? Thanks in advance

Adding on to this question, should we wait to send our transcripts until after we have received our grades for this fall semester? Also, if I took one class at a community college (not specifically regarding anything related to the programs I'm applying to) do I need to send transcripts for that school as well?

NJ, NY, CT, FL Grad program Advice
futureslp17 replied to futureslp17's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
Hi! Thank you for your input, I appreciate it! I really like the fact that SHU has tacks where one can specialize, but the whole accreditation aspect worries me a bit. Especially since it is a new program. I am under the impression that tuition there is about $13,000 per trimester though. I even emailed an advisor about their tuition and she confirmed that it's $13,100 per trimester. NYMC has a great program too, but super expensive. Monmouth is also private so it's more expensive than some others. Did you interview with FIU? I see you decided on Governors State University! Congratulations !- 9 replies
