  1. First off, congrats! I think all of the things you mentioned are important, but the most important things to consider would be: Advisor-Advisee fit, funding, lab turnout, program ranking, practicum opportunity, and location of univ. btw, may I ask which schools did you get accepted to?
  2. I knew this whole applying to grad school process would be burdensome, but I guess I've been really stressed out lately since it's already mid-February... I already received three rejections, two interviews, one waitlisted, and two pending. It's really frustrating because I haven't told anyone that I already received three rejections... still holding out hope that I could receive any good news soon. like very soon...
  3. Has anyone who applied to the Counseling Psychology program at the University of Maryland heard back from them?
  4. No, I haven't heard anything either... I was just wondering because you did a preliminary interview. Anyway, good luck to you!
  5. yes, I somehow thought you were talking about the doctoral program... sorry for sharing the wrong info. I'm sure they will reach you shortly! good luck!
  6. Did you hear any news from the Counseling Psychology program at the University of Maryland?
  7. I just got a rejection letter from BC saying that they received an exceptional number of highly qualified applications and had to limit the number of offers for admission to the program...
  8. I just got waitlisted... I knew this program was very competitive, but it's super frustrating to receive the actual letter :/
  9. I don't think it will affect the admission process as long as you are a competent and qualified applicant. Don't get overwhelmed by the words on the article. There are many other factors that affect the admission process. Good luck!
  10. Wow, congrats!!!!! I've applied for the doctoral program at UGA but haven't heard from them yet... May I ask who your POI is for UGA?
  11. How low is your GRE score though? There's no definite cutoff of the GRE score for funding, but I've heard that you should earn at least 70% minimum for GRE if you want to get accepted into the phd program (both counseling and clinical) with funding.
  12. Hey guys So I'm assuming that there are some people who want to talk about admission processes for counseling psych... Has anyone finished (or scheduled) the phone/skype interviews? or anyone who received interview invitations?
