    I'm sorry, I didn't know what I was thinking about; I thought you've got some admits. Well, you gonna get anyway, I hope! I applied to University of Manitoba too for their Social Work program since April last year for the fall term this year. So its been 1 year now since I submitted my application with them and it's a total radio silence. My application has been under review ever since. You know what, I've wanted to apply to VIU, I even created an account to submit my application and then suddenly lost interest. Maybe because of the exorbitant application fee for me as an international applicant, I don't know, lol. So here I am, I'm wallowing in self-pity, thinking why they're treating me like this lol

    It's a good news for you from the grad chair; congrats! And thanks much for the piece of information. It kinda help to ease my the tension I'm having. I hope they roll out the decisions before the month ends or else I don't know what I'll do....I'm so anxious!

    Well, i read on the university's page that notice about decisions will be made known 4-6 weeks after the deadline. For me, its been 5 weeks now since the deadline so I don't know. I'm a bit frustrated, I must admit

    I applied for Urban Studies at the Simon Fraser University. The admission deadline was 15th February but I have heard nothing! I am an international applicant, by the way. Good luck to everyone!

    I'm sincerely sorry for the rejects! If you've applied to any other school, I hope you get in. I got a reject from Cleveland State Uni. Waiting on SFU and UManitoba. I emailed UManitoba and the response was, I should be expecting decision in April so I have timeline. By the way, I am an international applicant.

    Oh sorry ?! When did you hear from the schools? Are you a domestic or international applicant?

    Thank you very much; I really hope to get into Manitoba! I wish you luck with the other schools. Kansas State must be your top choice, I guess, haha!

    Congrats on your admit! I'm happy for you, sincerely. I applied for their MA Social Work. I've got a really terrible GPA (the reason for rejection). Meanwhile, I've extensive volunteer experience both local and international, good recommendations and strong SoP! I thought that would suffice but I guess not. Manitoba is my top choice, also Social Work. Waiting on them with crossed fingers! So are you going to Cleveland or you waiting on others?

    Thank you ?! I know right, the wait is really frustrating! I can't tell how many times I log into my app status to see if there's an update. As a matter of fact, right after I received the email from the department's office telling me it's in April and all that, I logged into my app status hoping there might be some update, lol! The wait is really weighing on me. What was the other program you applied for? In the same school (Manitoba)?. Anyway, good luck ?

    I contacted one of the academic officers of the department (Social Work) I applied to and she wrote back that they're currently reviewing applications for the September 2018 start and should be expecting decisions in April. So am waiting!

    My pleasure! I'm sure they're reaching out to domestic students first before international base on the responses they will get from the offers sent. Fingers crossed ?!

    Anybody here who has applied to Uni. Manitoba or SFU? Any update? The wait is draining my blood. We are in mid March already! I'm losing weight from waiting too long!
