Hey, thanks for responding! The Gen Ed requirements for my program were pretty weird and although they covered some of that kind of material, I’m not at all sure that that would be obvious from just looking at the course titles. I’m probably just gonna have to email or call Pitt about it, but thanks so much for going to this effort! I didn’t think of checking out the Gen Ed requirements for Pitt but I will definitely do that now.

Hey all, quick question - I saw in an admissions brochure that you have to have at least 30 credits in the social sciences to apply. I have like 9, at best, and I was wondering how stringent this requirement is? I didn’t see it on the website so it hit me kind of out of left field and now I’m nervous that I don’t meet their admission requirements. ?

Gotcha. I didn’t realize that the online program offered scholarships, or I probably would have applied for that instead. Ah, well. You live and you learn.

I don’t think that’s necessarily true at all. You only applied like three weeks ago, right? I’m pretty sure @ngoc9 here had to wait over two months for the good news!

Nothing for me yet either. Do you have a deadline to get back to other schools? I’ve just resigned myself to not calling or emailing anymore, they’ll get back to me whenever they see fit.

Makes sense! I’m sure all that research will give you an excellent foundation for clinical practice, too. I’m with you - I originally wanted to be an academic before I realized how much I hated doing research, haha.

Did they invite you to an interview? I have not personally applied to Hunter but that seems to be a standard part of their admissions process. My friend never heard from them about an interview last year so she assumed that she didn’t get in despite, to my knowledge, never receiving an actual rejection letter.

This makes a lot of sense. I think when people ask for "stats" on here they are generally including relevant experience and an assessment of your statement of purpose, if you feel qualified to give it... at least, that's what I mean.

Gotcha! You sound like a very impressive candidate! I just realized that since you are Advanced Standing your stats will probably be less relevant to me since I applied to the two year track, but I'm sure someone else will find them useful. Also - I, too, like the idea of a Beer Summit.

That's honestly COMPLETELY absurd, I'm so sorry. Do you have deadlines to get back to other schools? I would 100% call them again. Any reasonable person would understand your frustration at this point.

Well, that's cool. I just hope they get back to all of us by the end of next week... Idk how much more of this I can stand.
