First round admissions already went out. I'm sure they are waiting on those applicants to accept or decline before they make another round of admissions.- 565 replies

Uoft Criminology MA Questions
BTF replied to nixghtcrawler's topic in Criminology and Criminal Justice Forum
Every law school in Ontario will calculate your GPA based solely on your undergraduate grades. They do this because most masters programs are not graded on a curve. Additionally, the lowest mark you can recieve in some masters programs is a C - B-, depending on the school. If your goal is law school you need to have good undergraduate marks and a good LSAT score. Where good is generally an 80%+ cgpa and 157+ LSAT. Your MA will be looked at as a soft factor, where doing well is expected, and if you do bad will likely be looked at negatively. -

Check current students and alumni on Linkedin to see where they completed their coop, as for the percentage I doubt anyone has that information. Call the school and ask.- 565 replies

For what its worth, there is a Health Canada building in Kingston down the road from Queens. More than likely they hire out of the MPA program when needed. -

Fair enough, was only asking because Carleton Central might be preventing you from logging on as you do not have "UCarleton" account yet. Their internal account used course registration, etc. However, if you haven't accepted then the above is not the case. Best of luck on your decision, if you have any questions feel free to message me.- 565 replies

Get a full or part time job during school, it really isn’t that difficult to manage your time accordingly. -

I was offered funding from Queens and have a 91.5% L2, GPA might have been the difference. Your pending scholarship is likely a result of Queens waiting on other people to accept or decline their funding and/or offer of admission. -

Call the schools and ask. Additionally, the GRE does not test statistical knowledge whatsoever.

Correct. It is also worth taking into consideration that the MRP is a 60 page paper that must be completed by the end of the 10 month program. You may be hard pressed for time given other courses and potential coop.- 565 replies
