    I seriously feel that the ones who didn't hear are moved to a waitlist since a part of applicants have already gotten their admits/rejects. Additionally, has anyone got any more updates to share from their recent interaction with the university?

    It's been 10 weeks from the day I applied. Anxiously waiting.

    Hci at university of Michigan has been for a long time compared to the emerging 1 year curriculum by various schools. From my friends at Umich I’ve found that they are extremely selective to choose a talented group of cohort who mainly drive the learning experience inside out with industry based learning. In fact alumni’s like tony fadell (father of interaction for iPod and iPhone) has his roots from Univeristy of Michigan. It’s not the location where the univeristy is present but the learning outcome that one must look into. If the program has existed for a longer time at a top notch univeristy there’s a reason why they keep getting competitive and produce great alumni’s.

    Congrats on your dream admits! It really depends what you really want from the bottom of your heart! If you want well-spaced learning then it's HCDE and if you are looking for intense learning then its HCID. What's the type of learning you want to experience is the main outlook here. Secondly, what do you want to take away from the program as well - like internships and experience before you graduate and apply for jobs.

    I am still waiting to hear from Umich! I wonder why I didn't hear anything from them yet as the decisions are already out for most people.

    I got Waitlisted! Anyone else got waitlisted at UW? Also, this is the first time I got into a waitlist. I have no clue how I react towards the situation I am currently facing.

    Thanks for the wishes.. I’m still waiting for my decisions from them. I’ve applied to uw, umich, cmu, northeastern, sjsu and csu east bay. @Conviction u received ur acceptance letter over email or mail?

    Where did u get your results? The application portal or did u received an email?

    The Website mentions March 1 will be the day when they send out decisions via email. I didn't have an interview scheduled yet by the Fluid interfaces and Tangible Media Group, although I had multiple visits on my portfolio. I am kinda feeling anxious at the moment.

    That's good!! Congrats!! I applied to MS IXD before 5th Jan. Waiting to hear some good news. Also, I have emailed them asking when would the decisions come out.
