Boo. At least we know that we probably won't be hearing from them on April Fool's Day. That'd be a fun day!

YAYYYYY!!! Actually... none of my POIs can make it to CAA this year, so I'm not sure if this is good news or bad.

Emory (Laney) & UMICH (Rackham) - Application status?
cokohlik replied to cokohlik's topic in Waiting it Out
Ahh, I see. I just realized as I was following your instructions that I've been clicking on "Application Status" this whole time (even before posting this) to get to see the status of my credentials, etc., but never saw anything related to my application being currently under review, etc. Thank you! I hope to hear from them soon. -
What you think the adcoms are saying about your application

(I obviously haven't been on the GC enough since I just saw this!) I'm SO excited to check out those books!!! Thank you! -

I dunno... you sound pretty darn awesome to me and any adcom that doesn't admit you would be losing out. -
I second that!

Awesome!!! I hope you get to do all these things!

I can hardly stand the waiting. I might have a mental breakdown. I'm so nervous that I'm not going to get in... argh!!

I feel really stupid asking this, but I can't figure out how to check the status of my application for Emory. My "Application Recieved" email didn't mention it, either. For UMICH, I've pored over my Wolverine Access page and there's nothing that says "application status," like the UMICH website says there should be. Any clues on where this mysterious status is located within Wolverine Access? Thanks in advance for any tips and I apologize if this has been asked before!

Congrats to the three Emory admits! Pretty sure I didn't get in there. No emails from them in my inbox I was so excited about my POI. Ah well, 12 schools to go.

List of things to do instead of checking admit status

I thought it'd be fun to make an "Academic Bucket List" of some of the things I want to achieve in my career in academia (provided I get into a PhD program of course!) Here's mine in no order. 1. Get published in... - the Art Bulletin - Artibus et Historiae - The 16th Century Journal 2. Write at length about theCerasi Chapeland the Contarelli Chapel 3. Research in the Vatican archives (I can dream!) 4. Meet my "academic heroes" (they're scattered across the globe) 5. Attend CAA for 5 consecutive years 6. Present a paper in Italy 7. Advise students of my own 8. See all my book and article ideas through to fruition and get as many as possible published 9. Co-author papers with at least two of my aforementioned "academic heroes" 10. Write a paper in another language What are some things you'd like to do?
