  1. Thanks! Now it's decision making time. It's under Wolverine Access, if you click Application Status, next to View Credentials, it says View Decision. Its the first time I've seen it, and every once in a whle I would check there. But I kept thinking it would be on the main page.
  2. The University of Michigan School of Social Work is pleased to inform you that your application for admission to the Master of Social Work Program has been approved. Congratulations on your admission to the MSW Program! AHHH I'm kinda freaking out. By the way, I kept checking the wrong place for the decision, lol.
  3. Haven't heard anything from VCU, still waiting. Sigh. Right now, I'm about 80% sure that I'm going to Umaryland. I've got everything set up to go there, but I'm still waiting on UMich and also financial aid from schools. Good luck on your interview!
  4. Seriously, how have I NOT been notified of my acceptance/rejection?? GR. lol
  5. Congrats! I was accepted on 1/24. Is that where you're planning on going?
  6. Call them! Thats what I did...compulsively.
  7. Arg! Nothing today, so I guess I'll have to wait until next week. This waiting sucks. Sigh.
  8. Were you in the chat today? I recognize your screenname, haha. I did hte same thing- held my spot but I'm waiting on VCU and UMich. Hopefully, though, I'll hear back soon about financial aid as well.
  9. So you found out on Wolverine Access? I keep checking!
  10. Ughhhh killing me!! Haha I wanna know if I got accepted or rejected Congrats though!
  11. If they require you to have the GRE, then you should have ETS send it to them, as they probably aren't going to accept a number from someone when it could be an exaggeration of the real score.
  12. Anyone who has applied, have you heard anything? Still waiting... :/
  13. I'm doing the same thing with Maryland. Their deposit and field application was due three weeks from the date I was accepted (so by this Tuesday), and I haven't heard back from any other school. I will lose the deposit, obviously, if I decide on another program, but I'm also waiting on financial aid information from all schools before I make a decision, since the $300 deposit isn't anything compared to thousands of dollars of potential scholarship money.
  14. I'm glad I'm not the only one. I value that the MSW will give me more options and opportunities.
  15. Brevard County. Just a straight shot up 95. haha.
  16. I did not, unfortunately. I almost wish I had. Did you?
  17. I feel like if you've been accepted to Chicago, you'll get in everywhere else. Also, yes I am from Florida. What part did you live in?
  18. AHHH you're killing me! haha. Congratulations! That's awesome.
  19. As of right now, it's between Michigan and UMB, and VCU is my backup. Also depends on scholarship money since I'm going to be an out of state student no matter what, and I don't really wanna spend $100,000 on loans for school, when I won't be able to pay that off....ever....lol. When did you send in your applications?
  20. Yeah, I mentioned it too and so when they asked me how I was today I made sure not to say that I was 100% because I felt like that would seem like a lie, so I just said that I was basically 98%, because I don't believe that anyone is 100% all the time, and that I know that to help other people, you have to help yourself first, and that I know when to get help if I need it. Hopefully that answer was sufficient, but you never know. Have you heard from UMB yet? What is your top school choice?
  21. So, basically, the interview was pretty standard. It was hard to do a phone interview because I didn't really know how to end my responses. The questions they asked were... "Tell me about yourself and why social work?" "Why the University of Michigan?" "Tell us about a time that you experienced something hard and how did you handle the situation?" "Do you think you're ready for a graduate program?" "What are your hobbies?" "What kind of populations would you like to work with? Would you be willing to work in Detroit?" "What are your strengths and weaknesses?" "Do you have any favorite authors or people you look up to?" < nerded out on that one. "If you were struggling academically, would you be willing to go get help at the tutoring center?" "You mentioned depression in your personal statement, how do you feel you are right now with that?" "What do you ultimately want to do with a MSW?" That's all I can really remember at the moment, but they also asked if I had any questions and gave me their personal numbers to call if I have any other questions. I really hope I get in.
  22. Ahh. I keep refreshing the page, hoping it will pop up. The waiting is horrible! However, Congratulations!!!!!
  23. Where do you see if you've been accepted? The only way I found out I got an interview was an email they sent on my birthday (Jan 23) that was dated on the letter they attached Jan 9th. I don't wanna wait 3 weeks for another letter if it's posted online.
  24. yup. I refresh the forums about fifteen times an hour.
  25. I had my interview with UMich yesterday and they said that they are meeting tomorrow to decide on the final decisions for Dec 1st people. They said I could find out as soon as tomorrow and as late as next week. Sigh. Nervous as anything about it.
