I've never personally been there, but I've lived in Washington long enough to know one thing: they have REALLY good cheese. They also have a bear conservatory... And historically, WSU has had a party culture, but I have heard that this is changing recently.

I actually got accepted at one of my top choices this week, so I'm quite pleased. It makes me feel incredibly less stressed. There's one more program I'm eagerly waiting to hear from before I decide to go to that university.

I actually received an email from them in late December saying that they were already reviewing applications... Ah well. It's not my #1 choice, so I don't really have any reason to be annoyed.

I was worried about this as well, but reading through this thread makes me feel a lot better.

I was so focused on getting in somewhere that now that I've been accepted at one of my top choices, I'm suddenly sad at the idea of having to move AGAIN and settle in AGAIN and make new friends AGAIN. I moved straight back to my parents' house after I graduated from undergrad last year. It took me several months to settle back in and make new friends -- now I'll have to do it again. I was looking at the profiles of graduate students at that university, and I'm paling at the thought of working with them. All of them have multiple publications and a ton more research experience than me! I'm rather intimidated, but I guess that means I'll be working hard to be at the same level as them -- that'll be good for personal and academic growth, hopefully.

One particular school I applied to had a app due date of December 1st, and I've still not heard back. I'm pretty irritated.

I agree with Coonskee. I haven't gotten any official letters yet, but I have had three schools email me to tell me that I have been accepted and that the letters will be coming shortly. I wouldn't stress.

So I called... Apparently they did receive my transcript, but they hadn't put it in the database yet. They seem pretty disorganized...

I just need to vent. CUNY emailed me to say that they have yet to receive my transcript. There are a few things wrong with this situation: I had my undergrad university mail them my transcript months ago, but they didn’t it receive it so— I mailed them a physical copy of my transcript along with the application fee in check form. They received the application fee, but they apparently didn’t receive my transcript. I let someone on the adcomm know that the transcript was going to be with the application fee in JANUARY when I mailed it. I want my application fee back, and I want to rescind my application. I did not pay $145 ($125 app fee + 2 transcripts) for them to be idiots. I just feel like they’re swindling me out of my money at this point. What do you suggest I do? I'm so angry.
