I would love to go to a big-name school, but they also tend to be expensive. I can't go to one without funding. It's also about fit, and there are smaller universities that I would fit very well into and I don't think there's any shame in that.

I really like the idea of getting the Seattle skyline tattoo'd on myself. Even though I'm ready to leave Seattle, I do love it to pieces.

Hmm, well if you haven't had problems with a monroe, then maybe I'll just get my nose piercing now! I did get my first acceptance on Friday. I am worried about a super conservative employer not liking the piercing though. Nostril piercings generally aren't going to be a problem, right? They've been quite mainstream for awhile now.

Hanging out with friends, traveling, exploring the city, trying to guess who are locals and who are tourists in Seattle, pretending to be a tourist, coming up with film ideas, watching movies, cuddling with cats, petting cats, taking pictures of cats, watching International House Hunter, making lists, posting on Tumblr, a good cup of coffee, pizza... and it goes on and on.

I'm actually looking at Durham U. Two professors are interested in working with me there, and I've already gotten an acceptance. It's supposed to be an excellent school or I wouldn't bother considering it. It's in the top 100 universities in the world (from various sources) and top 5 in the UK. Would that matter when applying to PhD programs in the US?
