  1. *raises hand*
  2. *e-hug* But sending out positive thoughts for Harvard for you.
  3. Congrats on Columbia!
  4. Losing an hour of sleep on March 11.
  5. Boo ... my Michigan visit day is March 23.
  6. Reduce wear-and-tear by hitting F5.
  7. Thanks.
  8. No, I just don't want everyone to expect to hear back today (since my pending JD also means that I applied for a special fellowship).
  9. I have Harvard admissions news, but I'd probably only want to share via PM at this point. I'm told e-mails should go out next week.
  10. It would be nice to know by Tuesday. I've decided that I'll keep myself busy this weekend by doing some preliminary packing for when I have to move this summer.
  11. I feel bad for sitting on offers, since I should be able to make a decision within a few days once I hear back from all of my schools, and they tell me what kind of financial aid package they're offering.* *So, I'm hoping I can figure out by about April 6, unless some schools pick up the pace.
  12. 1. ABA Litigation magazine with a cover stating that lawyers can start marketing on daily deal sites like Groupon. 2. Credit card offer for discounted European cruises. Cruises start at $5,799 per person ... I think my credit card company has me confused for someone a lot richer.
  13. Thanks for the update!
  14. It's kind of weird to think that just about 1.5 months from now, we all will have heard from schools and will have had to pick a school to attend.
  15. I'm pretty sure one of them looked me up on LinkedIn.
  16. Congrats!
  17. Good luck to all on being admitted off the waitlist! I wish there was a way to me to designate waitlisted Grad Cafe-ers to take the spots at schools I will not be attending.
  18. I think HGSE M.Ed. decisions have usually come out around March 11, give or take a few days.
  19. Agreed. Even if it was entirely a numbers-driven game (which it is not ... and far less so than law school admissions), very few non-delusional applicants have a <1% of being admitted. Apply to enough schools, and statistics* would say that you'd have an increasing chance to get into one of them. Since admissions committees are made up of different people, it would stand to reason that they often focus on different things. *Technically, the sample size for any particular applicant would be too small, but the general premise holds.
  20. I was told sometime in late February or early March.
  21. I was. To my knowledge, nothing in my online application has changed in terms of status.
  22. Don't give up on Stanford yet! Ditto to TexanLex and anyone else still waiting on a decision.
  23. I'm not sure if my online status changed, since I never figured out where to easily find it for Stanford. My ApplyWeb account just lists the application as being received and processed.
