I submitted my application on Dec 1 and got that email on Jan 26....

I applied November 22, everything was received by the 29th of November and I didn’t receive that email until January 30th. My anxiety is through the roof about this.

Called the office today and they told me they have had a lot more priority applications than usual, and that we should be notified within the first couple weeks of March :/

not sure how much longer I can wait! I got into Boston college and they have like a 3 week decision window. I know I can get an extensive but of course I want all my decisonsright now ?

Thats BS. They've been telling me that it was gonna be within the next week since the beginning of January. Its super discouraging especially since I have heard from all my other schools, and even saved my spot at one of them. It may not be rational, but its starting to make me not want to go there.

I feel the same way!! It kind of makes them seem unorganized. I’m still anxiously waiting for the decision but the schools I applied to who have been prompt are becoming more favorable to me

I hope financial aid information still comes in March. I’ve gotten NYU to extend all the way till April 2nd from December 7th. I don’t want to have to ask for another extension.

Some update. I called today and they said they had a lot of priority applicants and hopefully first few weeks of March. So once again, maybe next week or the following week lol

The lady I talked to was really nice and answered all of my questions. The priority people will get answers first, except she said that no acceptances ( or maybe offers?) have been sent out yet. So I'm curious if people who are posting on here are under something else?

Maybe she didn’t want to spill the beans that they had sent the first round of offers last week  ??

I thought the first round of offers was only for 2 year masters applicants? I don’t think anyone applying for advance standing 1 year masters has heard back yet. Is that what she was referring to? This is confusing lol

Advanced standing has def heard back. A friend in my cohort got accepted last week.

Yeah. I saw some guy on Twitter who got accepted to the advanced standing program 10 days ago.

I don’t think they are sending out acceptances by concentration, 2year/online/advanced standing, or even by date one applied. it’s either random or they are offering acceptances to the most qualified applicants first

I'm 2 year online masters. So maybe she meant that in my program they haven't made offers yet?

I know I beat the 2017 thread deadhorse, but this is pretty normal if we go off of that. There were a few offers and then BAM a bunch came out.

It would make sense they go for the most qualified / priority applicants first and then start rolling it?

I sent my deposit into Rutgers because waiting this long is a little ridiculous. Rutgers was my first choice anyway so I'm happy I at least heard back from them fairly early on and was able to make my decision

Same! I sent my deposit into UChicago because I'm not sold on Columbia anyway, and I can't wait this long in good conscience.

For the friends who have been accepted, how long did they give you to decide?

30 Days with a $400 deposit which is why I've held off on accepting until they hopefully send financial aid information.

When did you apply, just curious? I hope you get the financial aid you're hoping for!

I applied November 21st! Thank you I am really feeling the pressure from my family to make a financially savvy decision and my gut is saying that it won't be Columbia :/

I feel you, I already have debt from undergrad so I can't go to grad school unless I get decent financial aid. Good luck with whatever you decide!

Congrats on the acceptance! What program did you apply for? 2 year/advanced standing/ online? What concentration? Thanks!

I've been stalking this thread for awhile now trying to see what's going on and finally decided to join in lol. Has anyone heard any more updates? I emailed them last week and they said the first few weeks of March but I'm not understanding how some people heard back weeks ago and the rest of us keep getting the runaround. It's so frustrating!!
