Hi! Jujubea, congrats!

I've got the rejection right now.

Hi All! First time posting:

Is anyone waiting to hear back from SLU's Historical Theology? There was one acceptance days after the Apps were due but I haven't seen any rejections pop up.

Either way, this is my first year applying and I feel like I've learned a lot from the group posting here.

Good luck to all!

Wow, LauraR - Accepted at both PTS AND Duke? That's a (pipe)dream for some here. What's your secret?

Waitlisted for Harvard NELC (Hebrew Bible)! I'm really grateful. Now just to wait a little while longer.

Thanks!

I still have a hope to get into Hopkins, and maybe someday we'll meet! I wrote to my POI asking him whether should I apply the next season or not. Maybe... maybe!

Good luck with your studies at UCSB!

Seriously...what is your secret? What's your academic background like? (If you don't mind sharing).

Anyone want to claim the Oxford DPhil posted in the results?

I know some of you heard from the Catholic University for theology quite a while ago. Has anyone heard from the interdisciplinary program in early Christian studies?

Seriously, Red Door! That 'solicited' acceptance was approximately two years earlier than any other decision from the theology department listed in any year prior. When I saw it I nearly fell out of my chair! Kept thinking "should've been me...!" :)

Still crossing fingers big time for that one. Was in touch with my prospective advisor this week and he said he'd be pleased to meet with me, so there's hope!

What about you?

Hello Stefani and Red Door,

I didn't make the post, but I do know that the admissions meeting was last thursday, and the funding (EU, perhaps international too, I'm a UK student so don't know about the non-EU funding timeline) one is tomorrow. So it is possible or even likely that the person who 'solicited' the knowledge of their acceptance is genuine! I assumed that by 'solicited' it means they asked someone on the admissions committee whether they had got in.

Hope this helps.

OMG! Wow. So I can ask. Wow. And the decision's already been made. That's so interesting that the emails come out so late in March but the decisions are made so early. Thank you for sharing. Do you mind if I ask how you know? I am simply curious. :)

A couple of my programs seemed to be like this.

I was given notification either by email or phone a full one or two MONTHS before receiving the officially-official notification through the web-portal or e-mail or snail-mail.

I have two M.A.s--one in biblical exegesis and one in theology. I think it gave me time to really develop my research and writing style.  I think it all comes down to the writing sample.

I emailed a few weeks ago, and was told these dates!

I see. But you chose not to email and ask about your acceptance?

Yes, I figured that I didn't want to bother people too much, and I'd wait until after tomorrows meeting so that I don't send two emails in a week, only one!
