Holly44 Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 yes PLEASE! ready to get out of limbo! I keep telling myself that there won't be any point checking the mail until Monday, though, since there's no post on Sundays... D: but soon! haha I check my email late at night and on the weekends even though I know nothing is going to be there. I've somehow convinced myself that it's possible to get an acceptance email at 2am. lmao phaedra 1
rubyslp23 Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Oh my gosh I can't sleep. Anyone else having this problem? Hah....oy. This process is something else.
katie14 Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 (edited) Congrats to everyone who has gotten in so far! This is my second year applying and last year, the few I was wait listed to said I had a strong application, just needed to increase my GRE scores, which I did. So I am hoping for good news this year! I have only heard back from one school so far! I know now it is March so they should be rolling in soon, but how stressful! I do have a question though: I know some schools aren't planning on sending out offers until the end of March/beginning of April, but if you get an acceptance to a school early on and won't know about others until later, how do you make that decision, especially when they have decision deadlines you need to respond by? I keep thinking what if that happens, what will I do? Here's to hoping for the best! _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Applied: UW-Whitewater, UW-Milwaukee, Marquette, Western Carolina, East Tennessee State, Tennessee State, Appalachian State, U of South Carolina, U of South Florida Accepted | Rejected | Waitlisted | Accepted: __ / 9 Rejected: 1 / 9 Waitlisted: __ / 9 Edited March 1, 2015 by katie14
neucool Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Well, both of my acceptances so far have said "you must confirm within 2 (or 3) weeks or by April 15th, whichever is later". So as long as they don't get back to you after April 15th, you should be okay!

It's not common (though it is possible) for schools to ask you to reply before then. My acceptance letter stated: We adhere to the agreement of the Council of Academic Programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders. This agreement states that students should have an opportunity to consider more than one offer of admission/financial aid. Students have until April 15 to accept admission / a funding offer. So I wouldn't worry about it too much. Other than offers off of the waitlist, more of your offers should come before April 15th, and most shouldn't require you to respond before April 15th. Now, the waitlist thing has me all sorts of worried. Haha. I have two waitlists from schools I'd love to attend, and one acceptance from a school I'd also love to attend, and I don't expect to hear back from those waitlist schools until well after April 15th. I'll end up respond to an offer (with a deposit maybe?) before April 15th, but if I get off the waitlist from one of those two schools, I'd probably take it.
cmy33 Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Did anyone else apply to UOV (University of Virginia)? Anxiously waiting to hear back.
ralysp Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Did anyone else apply to UOV (University of Virginia)? Anxiously waiting to hear back. I also applied to UVa. The first round of decisions should be coming very soon!

jpiccolo Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Did anyone else apply to UOV (University of Virginia)? Anxiously waiting to hear back. I applied. I think it's more expensive than some of my other schools but Virginia is a cool place. I also applied to UVa. The first round of decisions should be coming very soon! Good to know! Do you know much about their program? Have either of you visited?
Hudson7 Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I just saw that someone got an interview for the University of Central Michigan, has anyone heard anything else about interviews or when offers of admission will be?
Speechlanguage05 Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Is anyone still waiting to hear back from Indiana U - Bloomington?
Xxdnxx Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 For those of you who are currently in post bacc SLP programs, what GPA did you have when you applied if you don't mind sharing ?
moosemoose Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 For those of you who are currently in post bacc SLP programs, what GPA did you have when you applied if you don't mind sharing ? Do you mean what GPA when applying TO the post bacc program? Or what GPA from the post bacc program when applying to grad programs?
Rue2 Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 Has anyone else applied to UMass Amherst? If so, have you heard anything, or do you know when we are supposed to hear back?
Shayy_Dee Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 For those of you who are currently in post bacc SLP programs, what GPA did you have when you applied if you don't mind sharing ? My undergrad GPA was a 3.27 so that is the GPA I had when applying to the post bacc program. In the post bacc program I have a 4.0
limegin Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 My undergrad GPA was a 3.57 and my post-bacc GPA is 3.75.
Mia6714 Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 I love that 62 people are browsing the forum right now. What we really want is to know where we were accepted but because we have no way of making that happen any sooner we are all on here ha. I'm not sure if it's making me feel any better but at least it is a distraction. Anyone applying to the University of Utah? If there is has anyone heard anything? I wish I knew how many applicants each of the schools I applied to received this year. mollypaget, bindlestiff, futurespeechie and 3 others 6

I wish I knew how many applicants each of the schools I applied to received this year. I applied to the U too. All I've seen is someone posted a PHD acceptance in the results forum recently for Utah but that's all I know. I think they typically inform the second week of March. Strange how the schools with earlier deadlines seem to take the longest. BYU was my last app and yet the first to reject. I know they had about 88 applicants last year for about 16 spots.
asdfghjk_38 Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Waitlisted at Marshall University. Has anyone else heard back from them? Does anyone know the chances of getting off of the waitlist??
sadie508 Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Did you guys see on admissions thread someone got a call from cu boulder on the 26th of February?
JBOTCH Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Waitlisted at Marshall University. Has anyone else heard back from them? Does anyone know the chances of getting off of the waitlist?? I was also wait listed and that my friend is the question we would all like to ask. It depends how many people decline, how many they have put on the wait list and where we are each placed on the waitlist -and unfortunately that is information they will likely not give us /: twinguy7 1
lakegirl92 Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 I posted this on the admissions thread by accident! Did anyone apply to University of South Dakota or Murray state?
