naderasofim Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Finally!! The rejection letter from UCLA has arrived
sdn915 Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 They said official letter will come in a few working days. So status will probably change then. Cafegrad-- Any sense as to whether all calls happened yesterday?
TheLuckyOne Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Ahh so I'm assuming no phone call=rejection? So Columbia has finished calling all their admitted students? I would guess Harvard is all done too?
Socbr Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 So Columbia has finished calling all their admitted students? I would guess Harvard is all done too? Would they call international students (not in the U.S)?
hillary511 Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Finally!! The rejection letter from UCLA has arrived I still haven't heard anything, I checked the email and the site. If I don't hear anything by Monday, should I email/call them?
heyitsthatguy Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 May I ask when the recruitment weekend is? I applied and haven't got any rejection or acceptance yet! Recruitment weekend is quite late in the season - March 28th. It's hard to tell if they're done yet or not, but there are 4 acceptances posted in the results search. Best of luck!

furryewok Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Anyone know if stanford / harvard have any offers left to make ?
breaks0 Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 (edited) I feel pretty dumb atm not retaking gre last year, getting more work experience, networking better nor applying to a few more top 20 (or even top 40) schools. Anyone reading this thread who will apply in future, thats good advice, Im applying to over a dozen but I went for too many low ranked ones and missed several fee waiver opportunities w/west coast schools. Don't do that if you're in a position to take advantage of it. The wait of days and weeks on end is just agonizing till you get an offer, and honestly in this position rejections and no decisions are equally bad. Sorry needed to vent. angelaxu Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Would they call international students (not in the U.S)? I'd like to know too. I would assume not. Columbia is my first choice and I'm getting extremely anxious now...
Socbr Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 I'd like to know too. I would assume not. Columbia is my first choice and I'm getting extremely anxious now... Same here.
sdr2659 Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 I still haven't heard anything, I checked the email and the site. If I don't hear anything by Monday, should I email/call them? I still haven't heard anything back from UCLA either, no email and no admission decision on the website. It looks like there were a lot more rejection posts on the admission results page last year, so perhaps they will be sending more out in the next day or two? Not sure. Has anyone else who applied to UCLA not gotten an acceptance or rejection notice?
Anonymona Posted February 7, 2015 Author Posted February 7, 2015 Just got into Brandeis! I'm so shocked, they admit so few each year. Everyone who's still waiting to hear from UCLA - apparently they had a final meeting this past week to discuss a few possible additional admits and funding. It sounded like there might be a few more admissions offers to make?
Pennywise Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 (edited) Congrats on Brandeis. It's an interesting program if you are committed to qual research. Edited February 7, 2015 by grrlfriend Anonymona 1
asheleeyang Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Not heard back from UCLA either... Hopefully there will be more offers to make!!!
SocJake Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Congrats on Brandeis. It's an interesting program if you are committed to qual research. I got wait listed by them, but I was wondering if you could expand on this? I'm all about qual.
460178985 Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Anyone know if stanford / harvard have any offers left to make ? Ohhhh, I sincerely hope so… I don't have courage to call them though
Nonyabuisness Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 WAITLISTED! Finally not a rejection! Maybe not an acceptance. But i can handle a waitlist. Please anyone not considering going to UIUC please tell them. This is my dream school!!! Pennywise 1
hgp Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Has anyone heard from UIC? I got an acceptance Jan 23.
Hydra_89 Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 I got an acceptance Jan 23. From UIC or UIUC? I didn't think that UIC released anything yet... ... at least I hope not! Haha. They were my "back up" school...
460178985 Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 I saw some rejections from Northwestern. Did they start send offer too? Any one got accepted?
anonymous_soc Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 I saw some rejections from Northwestern. Did they start send offer too? Any one got accepted? The ones on the results page were Northeastern I believe. Starbuck2015 1
IncomingPhD2017 Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 (edited) To those who received word from Rutgers today, did you previously have an interview? I'm habitually checking my status for Rutgers but it continues to say "No Decision." Edited February 9, 2015 by PhillyCJ
