Trust the intel @dih2, trust the intel!

Also not buying any of the Yale posts until someone here claims at least one of them.

Agreed, it seems unlikely that someone would get into Yale and not post here if they already post on a regular basis

All the Yale and Georgetown admits are international, it looks like? Maybe notifying international applicants first. Hopefully. Maybe.

Edit: Or trolls.

Trolls. I still have to meet the international student who is interested to study something they never studied before (American politics).

There's plenty of internationals that end up in the American subfield.

But usually (my experience) they studied American politics before because they studied in the US. A complete international usually doesnt have the chance to study American politics prior to their acceptance into a PhD. What I wanted to say with that was that I think it is highly unlikely given my experience and experience from people I know: Internationals that studied internationally do not end up in the American subfield.

Got the MIT rejection as well.

It always stings, but I'm so glad they didn't drag this out and into the weekend!

Almost like a response to this thread, now there is a Yale acceptance by an American applicant. Or troll. Whatever.

Same here. I love their campus, but it probably wouldn't have been a good personality fit if I had gotten in.

You know what would be real effective trolling?

If someone made a bunch of accounts and started claiming admits in the thread.

I mostly agree with the troll-until-claimed idea, but this seems like a lot of Yale posts for a troll, no? I see 11....
