guest56436 Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 The trolling is sloppy this time...no stats and all international admits.

Expand Agreed, it seems unlikely that someone would get into Yale and not post here if they already post on a regular basis
tkid86 Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 (edited) All the Yale and Georgetown admits are international, it looks like? Maybe notifying international applicants first. Hopefully. Maybe. Edit: Or trolls. Edited February 17, 2017 by tkid86

To say the least.

Expand But usually (my experience) they studied American politics before because they studied in the US. A complete international usually doesnt have the chance to study American politics prior to their acceptance into a PhD. What I wanted to say with that was that I think it is highly unlikely given my experience and experience from people I know: Internationals that studied internationally do not end up in the American subfield.

guest56436 Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 I have this weird fetish for prompt rejection emails. MIT is good in my books. resDQ 1
oakeshott Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 (edited) Got the MIT rejection as well. It always stings, but I'm so glad they didn't drag this out and into the weekend! Edited February 17, 2017 by oakeshott
VMcJ Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Almost like a response to this thread, now there is a Yale acceptance by an American applicant. Or troll. Whatever.

Monody Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Also rejected. Bad for the ego, otherwise fine.

guest56436 Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 You know what would be real effective trolling? If someone made a bunch of accounts and started claiming admits in the thread.
as2472 Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 I mostly agree with the troll-until-claimed idea, but this seems like a lot of Yale posts for a troll, no? I see 11....
polisci13542 Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Moreso the reason it's a troll. You will usually get around 5 or 6? 11 seems a bit too much
