I would feel pessimistic as well. Usually having a Plan B and a Plan C makes me feel better. I haven't heard from any of my schools yet but I've already decided I would try to get a job and reapply for next year if this year is a bust.

Sorry that line really bugged me. Some people don't want to get married but still have kids. I know it's a TV show we are talking about, but that seems a bit judgmental to me.

I want a dog so badly! I have no school tomorrow due to weather. We are suppose to be hit hard by a freak winter storm, we are usually open on president's day. I haven't done much today, I gave myself a lazy weekend.

Omg I'm about to throw my computer, University of Washington sent me an email to fill out a survey for their program......Could grad schools stop being mean now?
-
I keep getting spam mail from NYU about joining their engineering program, I just laugh and click delete. Trust me, you don't want me to design bridges and buildings haha. I also keep getting emails from duquesne university, which is an expensive private college that doesn't even have a museum program.

I just saw an email titled "Good News!", it was just my physics teacher assigning us homework.....

I've looked at past results and decisions should be coming out soon. Idk what I will do if I don't get in somewhere.

What's the meaning behind your username?

I love the show Gilmore Girls and Lorelai is one of my favorite characters on the show. Plus I love coffee. -
sigh, still waiting. I also like handmade cards. My boyfriend makes me cards and they are always my favorite present from him. I like the paw prints and its kate spade. I'll gladly admit I'm obsessed with that brand.

Yeah it is! I'm binge watching harry potter to distract myself.
-
That's good! Yeah I think i'm the anxious one ha. And nope, no changes in my diet! My boyfriend is the cook so he makes me awesome food ha. I'm not much of a sweets person, my vice is bread and seafood.
-
Yeah my boyfriend went through this process as well so he understands the timeline. Sorry it feels heavy! It felt better after he told me where he prefers to live so we will see! Does your bf have any preference? I know mine wants to end up at the lower cost of living schools. I like all of them so his opinion is the 2nd most important thing.

OMG I WANT COOKIE

I've seen people posting from my schools as well. I actually haven't seen a post about museum studies so I'm not totally panicking yet! I feel the same way about the super bowl. I haven't not care about who wins in forever.
-
I'm still checking my email even though its the weekend. It's harder since this will affect my boyfriend because he has no idea where to apply for jobs.
-
Oh she is! She will be an amazing geoscientist, I think the school was smart to take her ha.
-
in good news, my friend got accepted into her program!! She's super excited and I'm happy she didn't get shut out. She only applied to 1 program.
-
I know! I was debating if I could bribe a groundhog somehow and make it say its spring already....That coping mechanism does sound soothing, maybe I should try it!
-
My no name undergrad does this in the geology department as well. We used to have a masters program but that was cut back in the 90s. So all the undergrads get chances for internships and research experience.
-
hopefully you will find out soon! I'm waiting as well. good luck.

Sigh still waiting and my head hurts a lot. I have at least 2 more weeks to according to the results page.

It's so annoying! We oblivious approve their websites and are expecting them to make a decision. I would call everyday except I would look crazy. Thanks caller id!
-
I just got an email from University of Washington and I thought it was a decision! Nope, it was just telling me that they will make a decision in a couple of months. That was a huge tease ha

Not sure if you are still looking for advice but I hope I help! My boyfriend is a similar situation as you. He went to grad school but realized it wasn't for him. He's back now and we are deciding whether he should try to find a full time job here or come with me since I hope to go to grad school. We really like this area and hope to eventually live here after grad school. So getting a job and buying a house here would make sense. But we were long distance when he was in grad school and it sucked. We would be long distance again for 2 years. But he also has money saved up so we are good financially. I would say if you need/want a job maybe try to find part time work or at a place that wouldn't miss you when you leave (pet smart, target, etc) I wouldn't accept a full time job in an office if you plan to leave soon. So he decided that he will most likely come with me and try to find a job in our new city/state.
