  1. I decided to commit to IU today!!! If anyone else commits there let me know! Good luck to everyone in their decision making
  2. Heard back from two more schools in the last 24 hours! SOO SO excited! Wish I knew at least something about funding though, but they say it'll come in the mail for all three programs. They really aren't going to give us much time to decide, are they? Wishing everyone merry acceptances!
  3. I got waitlisted from University of Minnesota today sad because I know they have a good bilingual program but I also understand that I am coming from out of field. Thankful that I have been accepted to one program and still have to hear back from six more! Really curious about UT Dallas because apparently some people already heard back.
  4. Thanks so much!!! Ooooh I hope you get in! I still haven't received my letter either so the only reason I know is from the email about STEPS. Hopefully they come soon! I'm still anxious about the possibility of funding.
  5. You'll probably get a letter in the mail soon! Best of luck to you
  6. IU mails letters normally but for STEPS they email acceptances. I did not get my mail acceptance to IU yet but they emailed me with my STEPS acceptance today and also congratulated me on being admitted to the program overall.
  7. Thank you so so much! I was accepted to the Speech Therapy Education, Practicum, and Services for Latino Children and Families (STEPS) Spanish bilingual program. It's for people interested in working with bilingual clients and it is a specialization you can apply for at IU!
  8. It won't let me post in the actual results page, but I just got my first notification and I was accepted to Indiana University's program & their bilingual STEPS program! I am absolutely THRILLED!!! I found out about STEPS through email, but they said I will get my official acceptance letter to the program and info on funding in the mail. Best wishes to all of you!
  9. Dang is anyone else starting to get super anxious? I know that in less than two weeks I will have heard from most of my programs. It seems like a few people received notification from UT Dallas but I have nothing. I just want to know that I got in somewhere and I currently have heard back from no one.
  10. I got an interview at Emerson!!!! GAH so excited to even be considered! Anyone else doing a skype interview? I go to school in Ohio and can't afford to buy a flight to Boston this close to the date.
  11. Does anyone know of a list of schools that do interviews? As far as I know Emerson is the only school I applied to that interviews, but no one else even mentions it on their website.
  12. Thank you! I just checked and mine was thankfully correct (probably the first issue I haven't had with CSDCAS).
  13. Same here, I've been wondering the same thing! I've searched everywhere.
  14. I am officially done with my apps and omg I can't believe it. All I have to do is add in fall grades on CSDCAS once my transcript has been fully verified and that's it. I'm waiting on one letter of rec for 8/9 schools but they have their deadlines in email. So crazy that it's all out of my hands now. I've been working on this since the middle of August, and I picked out programs I wanted to apply to for a loooooong time.
  15. nvm I'm just going to go cry because it turns out the two schools that use CSDCAS don't bother to say on their website that you're required to submit transcripts and gre scores directly to there, and instead say to send it where I actually sent them. Here's to more money down the drain.
  16. Is anyone else having issues with CSDCAS saying your transcripts haven't been received? I sent my transcripts through my university WEEKS ago, and CSDCAS is still saying Marquette hasn't received it. I've contacted them twice and they aren't responding. My Marquette application is due today so I'm freaking out. I already submitted it a while back, but they still claim to be missing my transcript.
  17. Hey I know this is an old post, but I'm currently (like literally right now) working on my application for University of Arizona. They've been on my list for a while due to their bilingual certificate program and their 3 year track. As I'm doing extra research for my personal statement, I'm realizing something: do you not have to apply separately for the program/prove you are bilingual at all? I can't find any information on separate admission into the program- am I correct or am I missing something? All my other programs that have bilingual programs require a separate application and proof of Spanish proficiency level. Thanks so much!!!
  18. Okay thanks for the info! I think I'd be okay there as long as there are other levelers. I'm concerned about a couple other programs but we'll just have to wait and see in March. Trying to keep an open mind as I have no idea where I'll get in so I'm trying not to get attached anywhere!
  19. Thanks! I'm super nervous because since it's all in Spanish that just makes it worse. I wasn't able to find any information online about it.
  20. Is anyone else applying for the STEP (bilingual specialization) program at IU? I just got an email that my phone interview for it will be Dec. 19th. I'm kinda terrified since I thought it would be in like February or March or even after (if) I got accepted to the Master's program in general. Any idea what they're going to ask me? So scared!
  21. I know I'm not in grad school yet but I don't think your scores should hinder you too much since you clearly have a great GPA and a lot of experience! But I'd also like to know how she likes the program, I've never been to Texas but it does sound like a great deal to only complete one extra semester as an out-of-field student.
  22. On their website they say that they will accept students from out-of-field and then will have them complete prerequisites before beginning the graduate program formally. I'd give you a link but quite honestly I find all of these programs' websites near impossible to navigate.
  23. Thanks so much! I wasn't sure if ranking mattered or not. I definitely want to look more into the cost of living. I think most are pretty affordable besides Emerson because it's in Boston, but I'm not confident on that. I think all of them have 100% or close to that passing rates. All of them are around the same cost but if I get a scholarship or something that'll definitely influence my decision.
