I didn't waive my rights to view my LORs, not knowing that you should waive your rights if you want your letters to be taken seriously. Is there anything I can do about it now that they've already been submitted? I still haven't read any of the letters except for one that the professor voluntarily sent me through email. Will the fact that I didn't waive my rights actually hurt my application? I'm just really kicking myself because I'm confident in what my recommenders wrote, I was just curious to know what the letters said (which like I said, I still haven't even read), and it never occurred to me that this could be viewed as a negative thing. I guess I'm asking if there's anything I can do about it at this point or if anyone has had a similar experience?

I did not know until after the fact that LORs that aren't waved are taken less seriously than those that are waved, otherwise I would have waved my rights to view my letters. Since it's too late now though, I'd actually like to view my LORs for each school, but I don't know how to do this since there isn't a link or anything on any of my applications. Does anyone have any ideas?

I don't know if it's required, but I put the department code, and everything arrived to CSDCAS just fine!

@jmk Awesome, thank you! The point of CSDCAS is making less and less sense to me though.

@jmk My mistake! Does it specify in the description?

I would be wary of adding CSDCAS schools with such a close deadline. LORs and transcripts do not need to be updated, but remember you need to send your GRE scores for each additional school, which takes five business days! Furthermore, it can take a couple of weeks for CSDCAS to verify your application. I say all this because I wanted to apply to Portland State last minute, but in addition to worrying about cutting it close with the CSDCAS verification time, they needed their GRE scores in by January 9th. So you have to watch out for additional deadlines like that too. I'm not saying you shouldn't try to apply to additional schools if you really want to, but just be aware that your materials may not be verified by the 1/15 deadline.

I did not include my name or any header or anything, so I'm starting to worry. It seems like common sense, so I'm feeling kind of stupid, but at the same time, it's not like they say it needs to be included.

I am asking specifically about the University of Maryland and UNC-Greensboro. Two of my recommenders have uploaded their letters, but one has not. Will the remanding person still be able to upload her letter if I go ahead and submit my application? There are no clear instructions on the application.

I'm also completely fed up with CSDCAS. I feel like it makes the whole process more complicated instead of streamlining it, especially since in my case I only have two schools that use it.
