People who are applying this coming Fall would be 2020-2021 so if you applied last Fall, you would be 2019-2020.

I search "sshrc" on Twitter and see that a bunch of people already got notifications of acceptances and rejections.

Anyone else realized that they changed some of the order of things to be submitted? like relevant training being separate from the proposal?

This is 2018-2019 though, not 2019-2020 which would be this year's.

Hey, fellow uOttawa person here. Congrats to you! Also, did you happen to just call and speak to a random person or a specific person? I emailed yesterday and was told that they don’t have the results yet. Wondering if I should call someone specific tomorrow.

So, what did your first year of PhD look like? If you could share your experience for those of us who are about to start ours very soon, that would be great! Is it a lot of coursework? Reading? Extra research? Meetings with supervisor?

This probably depends on school, but since I'm not starting my doctoral program until September, I was wondering if the PhD programs allow its students to take courses abroad? Say in the summer if I want to take a few courses outside of state, and have them count towards my degree? I'm in Canada btw, and will be starting in Ottawa this Fall.

How much money did you spend on your graduate school applications?

I spent around $700. To the people spending over $1000, where are yall getting the money from ? I guess it's more expensive for me, since I'm paying in Canadian $, and the exchange rate just sucks!
