Haha! Your comment made me laugh out loud. I was in your position last year - 2 waitlists and a rejection. It was making me so anxious all day every day. I decided to make a detailed "back-up" plan with the time I had on my hands to wait. I opened a word document and noted what classes I would take/re-take, how I could gain more in-field experience, applied for more observation hours, and contacted local schools with SLP programs to see if I could get any kind of research experience. I ended up not getting into any last year, but it felt SO MUCH better knowing I had a solid back-up plan in place. (I completed my list during my year off and this year I was accepted to *almost* every school I applied to)! Best of luck to you! I hope this helped a little.

I don't have experience with either of these graduate programs, but I went to FSU for undergrad and the COMD professors are fantastic and supportive.

Hey guys! A question just dawned on me: what do you wear to class in grad school?? I know on clinic days you should dress up, but what about just an average class day?

Congrats! It is about 3-4 days in NYC over a long weekend (I think). I think there are 2 clinical bombardments.

Hi everyone! I just received an unexpected admissions offer from Monmouth! My question is, how far would you drive to attend a graduate program? I live about an hour away with no traffic (61 miles). Do you think it would be unrealistic to drive back and forth to & from class? Thanks in advance for the input!

Hi! I am pretty set on NYU, but am still waiting to hear from Montclair. I saw some acceptances from the AuD program and some rejections from CSD within the past week on the Results page. Does anyone know what's going on? This seems slightly different than previous years.

I'm starting in May! The only prereq I need to take is neuro.

Sorry to but in, but when I was accepted back in December I tried to get them to push back my deadline by 2 weeks and it was denied Sorry! Hope that helps.

Unfortunately this is the reality and only option for many people. I am attending NYU, which I'm fully aware is very expensive, but not very much more than my state school would be.

the financial aid office is a nightmare, they are SO rude. it depends on when you start, but from what they have told me generally you don't hear about loan packages until a month before. the scholarships they offer are mainly for minority students.

Hi! I was accepted into the program last year, but ultimately chose to pursue the USU program. My stats were a 3.3 undergrad GPA and a 150Q 159V and 5.0 AW.

Does anyone know of any current students at NYU's new distance ed program/a FB group for current students? I know their first cohort started in Sept and I would love to hear from somebody already in the program before I make my final decision to attend.
