I can’t believe they made decisions so early. Come on UL.
-
I have a few friends who applied to LSU, and they have not heard back yet. I want to say last year they heard back at the beginning of March. I am curious about LATech though, since their deadline was so early.
-
I like it. We have a ton of great professors, the campus is so nice, and I love Lafayette. I wish we were more medical based though.

I am applying to UL! I am there for undergrad right now. All I need to do is submit my LOI. This is so nerve-racking.

2018 Speech Pathology Graduate Applicants
CajunSLP18 replied to ObsessLP's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
First time applying and really nervous.... Which programs are you applying to? University of Louisiana at Lafayette (yikes I know, yes just one school) Where are you from? Louisiana What are your biggest concerns about applications? Only applying to one school.- 439 replies

I would wait on accepting until closer to deadline. There isn't a perk to accept right away. Also, our field is really small, and I wouldn't burn any bridges if I didn't have too.

Number of school's you're apply to?

Lol I know where LSU is. I am from this area! Unfortunately I am also 27w pregnant and due in January (like the week school starts my final semester). So a 2 hour (at least, you never know with the BR bridge and the Atchafaylaya) could be 3 hour commute each day is not plausible. Before I found out I was pregnant, I was absolutely okay with the commute. Now not so much with a 6 month old. -

I am applying to one school. It is the school I am finishing my BA at. Unfortunately I cannot move due to Husband's career. I will just have to wait a year to reapply if I didn't get in. I hope I worked my butt off enough to get in. I know for my school, I have an extremely high chance of getting in. -

I know someone whose name starts with a J heard back this morning from UL.
-
They go by first names. I now know 2 A's, and 3 C's who got a email.
-
What does your name start with?
-
I was told they do this process extremely slowly. I now know an A and 3 C's who got in. I'm sure they haven't gotten there yet. I have a friend who is a J and she hasn't heard.
-
Does your first name start with a C? I believe they go in alphabetical order by First name. I know a A, a C and now you that have gotten acceptance emails.
-
Typically they accept 25-30! I've only heard about 2 girls getting in so far. Not much chatter else where.
-
lol a girl in my class got a acceptance letter today at lunch. Apparently, they send acceptances one by one.
-
I know at least one person who just got an acceptance letter (via email) from UL just now.
-
I go to UL, but graduate next Spring. I have friends who applied this semester and they have not heard yet.
-
I believe she said they did not receive all of her application material.
-
I go to undergrad at UL and I believe they went out last year around the 15th. I have not heard any whispers around here.
-
I go to UL and will apply here this time next year. If y'all have any questions let me know! I think last year they heard mid march!
-
University of Louisiana at Lafayette is where I currently attend (I'm a jr getting my bachelors in CODI) and our grad program has a feb deadline. They also do not use CSDCAS.

Baylor Vs. UCF Decision Help!
CajunSLP18 replied to SoemiSpeechie's topic in Speech-Language Pathology Forum
I would choose Baylor because I love Texas and I have heard how great of a school Baylor is. If I could move, I would apply there. Texas has so many opportunities and the weather is great. Low cost of living. Friendly people. Great Mexican food lol.
