  1. I got mine at the local 5:00 p.m... not happy... ECSTATIC
  2. I had an interview 2 weeks ago. I was completely terrified. The interview went great, though. I had practiced many questions, of course, but they only asked about my research, my future and if I had any questions (be sure to have some). Overall, it was a great experience, and I'm very happy it went very well. Overall, it's good to be prepared, but the key I think it's to relax and have confidence in yourself. Being selected for an interview is a huge accomplishment, so that means you've already caused a good impression. Just act natural . Good luck!
  3. I was notified via email, and I never checked my status, I think, since I was notified sooner than expected, so I can't help you with this, I'm sorry :S. Thanks, @Liiahhhh :). Good luck with your applications
  4. @Liiahhhh In my case, I applied to a Master's at UvA in December and received the acceptance in January, and I'm currently waiting the results of the AES and AMS scholarships. It's quite strange they will give you a decision so late. Will you be applying for any of those scholarships (if you're doing the Master's) ? According to some at the TGC search section, these results will be available in March-April.
  5. Thanks :). Never give up on your hopes! Sláinte!
  6. Cool! I've applied to one Canadian university, and I've applied to UvA too!
  7. Thanks to all! I'm very glad to see you all 3 have acceptances as well!! Indeed it was one of my top picks: it's a great university in California. I'm extremely happy.
  8. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ohhhh months ago when I first visited this forum!!!! Good luck to all! Patience pays out!
  9. First acceptance ..... I'M GOING TO GRADSCHOOL! :')
  10. I have an interview tomorrow. I feel both excited and nervous.
  11. I have my first interview tomorrow (via video). Ohhh mann, I'm so nervous, but at the same time happy! I mean, I was selected for an interview in a fantastic university, great in research in my topics of interest! Cross your fingers for me, please
  12. No news yet, and none of the programs I applied to have appeared in the Search section here, so it's ok. I'll keep waiting
  13. @hopefulPhD2017 Yep, I'm back to checking the applications' websites on a daily basis. This is the year when our future is defined!
  14. I was... Since the committees are on holidays, it was pointless to check. But next week it's a different story!
  15. Impressive! If I ever go to Oklahoma, I'll for sure visit your university!
  16. Anyone else applying to the University of Amsterdam - Fall 2017?
  17. I would recommend The Perfume, by Patrick Süskind! I definitely wouldn't want to read something like while I'm waiting for admission results! I have a Major in Physics. I also love History of Science, so I try to read the original works when I have time, like during the next few weeks.
  18. you're right! I didn't know there were so many different psychology specializations!
  19. Cool topic! I just finished reading a book called Lancelot of the Lake. Next I think I'll read Galileo's Sidereus Nuncius.
  20. Sometimes I get very excited, and I check results from previous years in the TGC Search, I read the applicants' comments, etc., but after a while I just think: "Forget about it: if I'm accepted, great; if I'm not, well I just try again or do other stuff." And some hours later I'm checking admission-related things again.
  21. @stereopticons @Forest Owlet I downloaded it yesterday, so I'm just starting hehe. But yeah, I look forward to it, learning stuff not related to my field of study will definitely help me deal with this anxiety!
