I think that's it for this cycle for me. There's not really a point to this post other than maybe some kind of closure? I've checked this site countless times a day for so many months, but there's no need anymore, not right now anyway. But, I did want to say thank you to everyone who responded to my questions and everyone who has been so inspirational and kind. You all made my first process a little bit easier, so thank you. Might I even dare to say that I'll miss checking this site for awhile. Thank you all, please keep pushing, I am sincerely SO proud of all of you on this site. Go get those degrees!

American says invites for clinical are going out “in the next week or two”

For anyone wondering, BU says invites are going out "in the next few weeks".

It would be so nice if all programs would be clear about when invites would go out. Sitting here stressing is making me so anxious!

Anyone else's brain like: "omg its Jan 2- the holidays are over please read my application now!!!"
Two weeks from now, a lot of us will be hearing some great news! I know it's hard to stay positive but as an over achiever who was  rejected by all the universities I applied to last year, I promise you that whatever happens, you will be okay. If anyone needs someone to talk to and confide in my DMs are always open :). Wishing you all success in this new year and please remember that you all are applying to literally the hardest graduate program in the country.
 

It's my first round too and I haven't personally had any phone interviews yet. There is an interview advice thread that may be helpful, though (https://forum.thegradcafe.com/topic/121366-interview-advice/). This is what @SocialPsych2018 said:

Reply right away and indicate your strong interest in their program and excitement in being invited but say you’re still in the process of coordinating your schedule and will let them know as soon as possible. Thank them at the beginning and end of the email, etc. 

How do you respond to an interview invitation from a POI if it conflicts with some of your higher choices that haven’t invited you yet? I’d like to wait a little longer before responding but I also want them to know I’m very interested in their program and thrilled to have the opportunity to interview with them. 

As a current grad student, I would say no. A thank you email is enough.

I know nerves are high right now regarding interview invites! Just to give some ease to anyone - I applied last year also and the latest interview invite I received, I received on January 24th!

I use this exclusively when I see a post on the results page that is NOT on this thread, and it has generally worked out for me. Sorry to crowd the board.

Vanderbilt's interview weekend is on Jan 31th and Feb 1st

Have you gotten any word from your POI? I have had a preliminary phone interview and my POI said I will get a decision about in-person invites by Wednesday, 12/18.  So at least hold out until the end of this week probably!

Ditto for University of Cincinnati or Vanderbilt!

Does anyone know if there is a google spreadsheet for all the results like there was last year? I remember it being super useful

The questions you actually get will vary based on the professor and program.  Do you have any mentors with whom you can speak about how they evaluate applicants?

Another UGA applicant that has not heard anything yet!

I currently have a list of 26 clinical programs but will be narrowing it down to hopefully about 15-20 before applying!
