  1. I've taken the Megabus to DC less than a month ago and although the stop in NYC is not super central, it is easily reachable by the number 7 subway. It is essentially one block away from the last stop on the 7. If money is not a problem you can checkout trains as well such as Amtrak. I've heard they are super comfortable, will get you there faster (3 instead of 4 hours via bus I believe) and can be taken from a more central location in NYC. BTW I've been accepted to Tufts, SIPA and SAIS and their open days are back to back :/ trying to figure out travel plans too without driving myself crazy. I'm trying to decide on my top 2 choices in the next 10 days so that I don't need to attend all open houses. Having said that, would like to hear this group's opinion on if it's a bad idea to reject a school before going to their open house?
  2. Hi all, I'm on the same boat as many of you - admitted but with no student aid! :/ Going thru the email on financial aid am I correct in understanding that there are no opportunities to work as teaching, research or graduate assistants in the first year at SIPA? Meaning that the only aid is through either SIPA or outside scholarships, or loans. Seems weird to me that they don't need students even for administrative work.
  3. Has anyone been invited to apply for the various assistanship positions at Wagner. I'm currently working on the GA application and was wondering if our resume needs to be 1 page since this is technically a job position. Thoughts?
  4. Yeah I thought of that but is there really any chance of waitlisted candidates getting admitted to WWS? I doubt.
  5. I haven't got anything yet either. Gahhh
  6. Congrats!
  7. Are you MPA?
  8. At least let us find out which camp we all are in, accepted, waitlisted or rejected. The anxiety is killing me!!
  9. Agreed. I guess those will be going out today.
  10. No email. If it really is over I find it surprising that only 3 or 4 people from this entire forum made it.
  11. Yeah I doubt anything will come after 6. I'm getting back to work guys, whatever the result when it happens it happens!
  12. After 2 hours of refreshing my email every 5 seconds, I opened my SOP and gave myself even more anxiety. Do not, I repeat, do not follow my lead.
  13. How does that work, if I have not been offered any funding from x, say Johns Hopkins will they email me to say that I have been given funding now? Or is there something I need to do from my side before that?
  14. So they are going to torture us for one more day for the official no I hope your two hour prediction holds true!
  15. How do they inform those who don't get thru - email? Trying to prepare for all outcomes!
  16. Congrats! Have there been any changes to your online application page as well?
  17. Hmm can't tell in that case..
  18. Those who got the yes do your first or last names begin with 'a'? That will tell us! @Prester John @UrbanPolicy&Development
  19. I've been flipping out since morning for every email!! I guess they go by last name right? In that case I still have hope. If not, I'm probably a no
  20. How are the decisions being released, are they sending emails? I wonder if they are sending in alphabetical order?
  21. @misuny I am assuming those are self driven activities and not part of any official agenda right? I will be able to stay on in NYC for a few extra days and plan to do those activities then..
  22. Mine was something along the lines of 'how did you spend your summer/how was your summer?' in hindsight SUPER easy, but I stumbled through it :/ hoping for a positive result fingers crossed!
  23. For those going to the admitted day activities, is there anything planned on the 19th and 20th of March? The initial letter mentioned 19-23 March but the sign up page has no activities for the first two days. I need to plan my travel accordingly so wondering if there is something different for 19-20 that I didn't receive.
