  1. Thanks so much! I haven't toured yet, and I only have until May 6 to accept or deny their admission offer so I don't really have time to before I have to decide unfortunately. But I definitely agree that FSU faculty is biased lol
  2. Does anyone currently attend/is anyone considering the SLP graduate program at University of Central Florida? I was recently accepted off the waitlist but I have not heard great things about the program from my peers and from my current faculty at FSU (it is too large, very unorganized, etc.), and I was wondering if anyone had a different opinion? I am definitely considering attending because I have a lot of family and a part-time job opportunity in Orlando, but I am worried that the program might not be the best, based on what I've heard. My other option is USF in Tampa, which looks and sounds like a great program but I was initially leaning toward UCF and just really need help deciding. Thank you in advance!
  3. Anyone planning on declining University of Florida? I'm on the wait list currently but really want to receive an acceptance!!!
  4. I've heard that Fall 2019 applicants aren't supposed to hear back until mid-June... Considering that UCF was one of my top choices I'm pretty upset about this. Not sure if I will attend if I am accepted, just based on how late they plan to notify us.
  5. I've started bullet journaling and have spent quite a bit of money on art supplies.. It makes me feel more organized in the midst of this chaotic time and also feeds my online shopping addiction lol
  6. Hi! I know this post was quite a few months ago but are you still available to look over personal statements? I really would appreciate any help!
  7. I am also interested in swapping personal statements! I love editing others' work but definitely need lots of help with my own.
  8. Hi everyone, I recently took the GRE and received an average/low score for the quantitative section: a 149. However, my verbal and writing scores were both high; a 163 in verbal and a 5.0 in writing. So far I have decided that I am applying to the graduate programs at FSU, UF, UCF, and USF. Would anyone recommend that I retake the GRE in hopes of improving my quantitative score? Or do you think that my overall score is good enough to outweigh it? For more context about me, I have a 3.78 GPA, I've done one semester of research, I studied abroad with my CSD program at FSU, and have done a good amount of volunteering within areas of speech pathology and children with disabilities. Thanks!
