Hi @crackademik - I feel you, but keep your chin up! I say this for two reasons:
(1) the data on other applicants you get on this site is, imho, *far* from being representative of the applicant pool. Posters tend to be on the more qualified/anxious end of the spectrum, and I think that this, while completely understandable, does tend to drive the general vibe.
(2) If you are to trust the stories you read here, and I do think you should, you'll surely see that many "under qualified" applicants get interviews at places they hadn't anticipated. I feel that the selection process is far from predictable, and what works for some might not work for others. On a personal note, after receiving 4-5 rejections in a row a couple of weeks ago, I thought I was done for. I did end up with cool and unexpected interview invites, despite my lackluster qualifications, if I were to compare my record to others I saw rejected. 
Tl;dr - it's not over til it's over ?

Seeing the word "admission" had me do a double take last night, then I saw the name of the attached letter and any suspense at the decision dissipated.

Looking on....the bright side?

I absolutely needed to see that just now. This last week has been tough with a few of my programs sending out notifications for interviews and some acceptances. The admissions process just seems so secretive, which is frustrating when I'm trying to plan out my life. I've always been a planner, so this is really throwing me off BUT I'm hoping that these next few weeks will bring some clarity. You're absolutely right that it's not over til it's over!

You're so nervous during your first set of Skype interviews that when you're asked where you are you answer with "Oh, my den" instead of your geographical location. (At least they laughed?)

I'm not saying I'm the best candidate, but I am saying I'm a racist.

Excitement: not much at the moment. Will try and get my mind off of things, spending time with friends and family. Hopefully a new week brings better news.

Alright y'all this recipe yields 9 dozen chocolate chip cookies cookies. It's best made while drinking wine with your best friend, SO, or family. I swear, they just taste better that way.
Cream together: 1lb unsalted butter (NOT MARGARINE), 16oz DARK brown sugar, 1 1/2 cups sugar
Add: 2 tbsp. vanilla, 3 eggs
Beat this mixture for 3 minutes.
Mix in: 6 cups of flour, 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda, 1 2/2 tsp. salt.
Finally, fold in 24oz of semi-sweet chocolate chips, and 2 cups of nuts if you're a psycho and like nuts in your cookies..
Alternatively, you can use the base recipe to make white chocolate macadamia nut cookies by folding in 24oz of white chocolate chips and 2 cups of macadamia nuts.
Bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes. My non-official word is that they bake best at 13 minutes.
I recommend scooping your dough out with a small ice cream scoop, maybe a 1 1/2inches in diameter!

I'm currently taking a gap year working retail so there really isn't much to keep my brain distracted at the moment.

My semester doesn't end for another two weeks so theoretically my work should be keeping my busy. But in reality, I got back into Pokemon Go so that I could check my phone like my brain wants me to but also not obsessively refresh my e-mail. 
Also am very in favor of a cookie recipe exchange - I've got a recipe for soft, buttery sugar cookies that always seem so comforting during winter.

Watching tons of shows on Netflix, lots of napping under warm, fuzzy blankets, reading massive amounts of books, and applying to retail jobs so I can save money for the hopeful move to grad school.

Just got done making 9 dozen of our family choc chip recipe. Calls for 1lb of butter ❤️
