They sent an email about an open house and tour of the campus. I got the open house email about 40 min after the acceptance email.

Ugh I feel that lol. I emailed them kind of asking indirectly, but they said that we should get our financial aid package by April 15. Other than that, I don’t know anything else. I feel like at this point all we can do is just wait for it? They also told me that departmental scholarships were sent out with the initial offers, but they may offer them to others if they get turned down.

I got waitlisted yesterday. I also am not upset about it because I already got into my top choice and I don't want to have to consider a slightly cheaper option than my top choice haha.

No, I had no mention of a writing prompt either. It was slightly surprising, but I was suspicious it might happen from posts on this website from years ago.

I read on posts from years past that other people had a difficult writing prompt regarding a clinical situation that they had never learned about, and several people said they had no idea how to answer it. I think they said they felt they did poorly, but still got accepted! So I think you probably don’t have to worry too much about it.

I am assuming it’ll be really late since the application deadline was February. If you look at last years they didn’t come out till the end of March.

UW has a tuition waiver for people in certain states, including CA, so that we can pay in-state tuition, making it MUCH more affordable. Read this link here. Did you apply for the WICHE/WGRP rate in your application? I would love to attend the preview day, but I'm going to be out of the country during both of the days so I'm gonna try to see if they'll let me visit another time. Also, has anyone heard anything about a FB page for UW SLP? If there isn't one maybe I'll just go ahead and make one. I'm excited to meet the other students haha.

Hmm.. now I'm wondering what the prompts were. Mine was asking about what my future plans are as an SLP and to write about it as if I was telling my best friend. I'm intrigued how they decided to do prompts, and did they give them to everyone?

Do you know if it’s possible to get the state specific credential without going to a CA school? Or how difficult it is? I got accepted to UW which would be my dream to go, but I would eventually want to move back to California and work here.

Congrats! I was accepted too. I am also interested in information about Seattle (I’ve been having a hard time finding apartments that aren’t like $1500+). I was also wondering if anyone knows how financial aid, specifically with FAFSA, works. Do we find out what we get after we accept or before?

Congrats to you too!! I’m not sure yet, I hadn’t really considered it because I thought I wasn’t going to get in. But I really would love to go if I can make it work. I am still waiting on some other decisions though.

I just got an email for acceptance to the CoreSLP program! I am in disbelief and extremely happy right now!!! Literally in tears haha

For people that have gotten these emails today, does it reflect in your portal? My portal still says "department reviewing file for eligibility".

Hmm. Well, I never got anything from either of the glitches, this is the first correspondence I've received. And they did say in the email about the glitches that any decisions would come only in an email from her. I don't know if I should've waited to respond to the waitlist email then..

Looks like decisions for SDSU just came out. I got waitlisted. I wish we could know how long the waitlist is!

did you get a notification of acceptance? I see in your signature that you listed SDSU as an acceptance. Interestingly I didn't get any emails nor has my portal had any updates.

Has anyone been thinking about SDSU, or heard anything from them? Last year it looked like most of the decisions came out around this time (Feb 23). I'm getting pretty anxious about it.

To everyone that has interviewed (or will be interviewing) with Chapman University, what should I prepare for and what's the interview like? I know they give a list of questions to prepare for, but are there any tips or surprises I should be aware of? I also saw in a really old post from years ago that they give a writing prompt, do they still do that? I've never interviewed for school admission before so I am completely new to this kind of interview.
