  1. anyone here going to the event with lunch on Thursday April 4th??
  2. So technically you can say yes to more than 1 school, you might have to pay and then later loose a deposit for somewhere else, but it gives you more time to receive financial aid offers and figure out all logistics
  3. Received my accepted to the extended program - Friday 3/15 around 5pm.
  4. Well that is embarrassing. Well I double-checked and when you search "Portland State MSW" it lists all MSW program discussions and this one is just randomly in the middle of them. Thanks!
  5. I applied to the MSW program and so anxious to hear something. Come on, just rip it off like a band-aid and tell me
  6. What department? The graduate admissions as a whole, or a specific major?
  7. Still nothing about the extended program yet? If email servers were like shoes, I would have worn the sole down by how often I am checking my email
  8. I am so happy for those of you who have heard back. Did you receive an email? Was there something to check online? The wait is painful.
  9. For those of you who earned a scholarship - where do you see that information? Is it somewhere in the portal, or did you get an email?
  10. I am so happy for those of you who have heard back. I am still waiting for any news. I applied to the extended program.
  11. Got my acceptance yesterday! I am so excited! I emailed them immediately to ask when aid will be posted and they said 2 weeks. I have a 2-year-old so a strong aid offer is a deal breaker for me. However, I am so happy to have been a strong enough applicant to earn an acceptance; I have really come to terms with it most likely not being affordable.
  12. In 2 weeks! (I emailed them to ask that as soon as I received my acceptance yesterday.
  13. I was just accepted to the MSW program at Columbia, I am so excited! Financial Aid is not posted for another 2-weeks so it is very possible I cannot afford to go, but I feel so accomplished to have earned a spot.
  14. Which programs did everyone apply to (day vs extended) and do we want to share stats? I applied for the extended program that has class 4 times a quarter. I am a CC transfer to UC San Diego with a 3.8 gpa, not sure what else might be helpful to share?
  15. I am not surprised by the high acceptance rate because that is based off of applicants to the online school as well which is allowing more students into the school along that track. Also, some students lack the confidence to apply to this program, and not always because they are not strong applicants. It can be much easier and more affordable to get into a state school.
  16. I have a feeling we won't hear anything until late March/early April...
  17. I applied to Columbia, University of Washington, Portland State, University of New Hampshire (UNH), Monterey Bay, and Boston University. I have already been accepted to UNH
