Did they contact your Academic references in the same week of the panel interview?

They told me it will take 2 months before they get back to us!

Hi!

It was one week after the panel interview.i guess they’re collecting all information before making a decision and including background references and maybe some forms it can take up to 2 months .

any news on your side ?

Hi all,

I recently completed the P2 Partnerships Officer Pre-Interview. Anyone have any idea how long it will take to hear back for the next step (the language test)?

I did my panel interview on the 19th so I think it is still too early to hear from them. They told me there is a big list of applicants for the position and things will take time.

What is a bit weird also that I was never invited to the language test!

Crossing fingers :)

I believe so too. Even though, comparing the process with the previous year, it seems taking an average of 7 months in total. I personally would add 1 or 2 months more, which is still quick compared to other's IGOs.

Hi!

It’s too early indeed. Don’t worry about the language test, I didn’t take it either.

as said in a previous post, I guess since the whole process was held in English and I listed English as my second language it was not necessary tho.

my mother tongue is Spanish and English is my second language.

so let’s wait, my panel interview was on the 9th by the way.

good luck!

Hey everyone,

I had my panel interview today ( HR Officer P3). Had 7 questions total, even thought it felt like less.  it was a very pleasant interview, no stress! Prepare your examples well.

Good luck to everyone!

Hi UdZe,

Good to know that we are in together. I notice there was a status date change 08/06/2020 and hoping to hear back soon. The anxiety and long waits are just too much. Keeping busy definitely helps and I'm looking forward to getting on the field. Keeping fingers crossed.

Hi Federil. Hope you are safe.

Have you gotten any response yet from WFP as regards the Covid19 ER?

No news yet on my end.

Hi UdZe,

No word from my end either. I even wrote to them yet no reply. I rather saw posting on their website for a global call for expression of interest in supply chain/logistics. I'm not sure what the deal is....maybe they are just expanding the pool. But I'm not too hopeful anymore.

Looking forward.

Best of luck!

It's possible that they didn't get as much interest as they wanted from the people within the FIT pool. Hence, they decided to try and widen the search by readvertising the pool position.

I'd keep in touch though. Best of luck too.

Hi, I got invited for the language test for the Partnerships Officer. I completed the pre-interview about 3 weeks ago.

Hi to those who completed the language test. I chose French and was wondering how difficult it is. Do they ask such issues and political affairs? Or is it more like general chit-chat with friends level?

My panel interview was exactly one month ago, and they did contact my  professional references, believe two weeks after...? - though I haven't heard back from Devex since.

Thanks Wila for the info. I dont know if it's a bad sign that they take long to check the references, but I'm still hopeful :)

I don't think it's a bad sign - they did say the process can take up to two months. To top that, I didn't feel that great after my panel interview, and was super surprised when I learned they contacted my references. I still don't believe it means I passed the panel... :)

May I ask what is your application status on the WFP career page? Mine reads: "Congratulations, you have passed through to the next phase of the recruitment process"

Hi!

I can totally relate with you. That’s my case. Guess I’ll have to wait .

You are right they did say that the process will take up to 2 months. I didn't feel so good either after the panel interview, you know when you will be thinking of what you could have said instead of what you replied :) I just checked and my application status is different. It says congratulations you passed to the interview stage, so you are closer to the light at the end of the tunnel ?
