Happy Eid! Arguably, Al-Ghazali ruined the Islamic scientific thought which was a lot more progressive for the times than what followed in the Western world. Then again, the world is full of contradictions and complexities and I do love Ghazali for him mainstreaming of Sufism so we have that middle ground.
