I just contacted them prior to my applications to make sure my research is a good fit w/ their dept. I spoke to 2 or 3 professors there including the DGS and they were all very friendly and gave me good information to their program as they are relatively new (re-branded from Comp. Hi, Quite honestly, I have no idea, and it would just be a hypothesis to speculate. Only the department knows. All I can tell you is that I hadn't had a Zoom meeting before the application deadline.
