Interview/Interview Invitation Thread

Recommended Posts

@Tahlain I wouldn't worry if you haven't heard. According to the UCLA psychology department website "Applicants that are invited to an interview event will be notified at least two weeks before the event." I suspect this means that they don't finalize invitations until relatively late.

That's such short notice! Plane tickets will be so expensive.

This is the sort of thing that I hope I will have to worry about B)

In all seriousness, if I do get an interview at UCLA the airfare cost will be a significant hinderance.  Fingers crossed that they are like Princeton, where the department comps a large portion of the airfare.

I hope you get an invite :) That's awesome about Princeton! I've heard back from one place so far, they didn't offer reimbursement nor the opportunity to stay with a current student. Luckily I know a few people at the university so I can stay with them.

Interview invite from the Clinical program at the University of Kentucky. Received an e-mail this morning.

Was this a personal email from your POI or one that was mass-sent from the department?

Congrats!

I received an invite from Vanderbilt (Cognition and Cognitive Neuroscience) for their interview weekend in February.  I have a lot of reading to do between now and then!

Got an interview invitation from the University of Arkansas, which was my "safety." :) 1 down, 12 more to go... Good luck, all!

Congratulations! University of Arkansas is my first option, as well. However, I did not hear anything from them, yet. Can you tell me who is your POI or at least in what do you want focus your research? Good Luck in the interview!

Congrats, JoePianist! Would you mind PMing me your POI? Also, was the email personalized to you, or did it seem like a mass email? Thanks!
