Accepted into Pratt, Industrial Design!

I emailed them a few days back regarding their admission schedule, and they replied saying that decisions will start being sent out mid-March onwards. Don't lose hope if you haven't received a reply yet!

I didn't end up applying there, since they do not have any design related courses.

I applied Painting. I saw that some people already did their interview and.. the spring break of school is soon, so I'm just freak out

I know this might sound cliched, but try to approach the admission process with a detached attitude. If it works out, then great. If not,  then it wasn't meant to be.

I found this attitude helped me during really stressful times. Healthy distractions also work wonders.

anyone heard from columbia photo? thomas roma, the prof, resigned and that's the last i heard about the program. did anyone get calls for interview or got an acceptance/rejection email yet?

I stillll haven't heard from RISD or Columbia for Sculpture. Should I assume its a done deal and I've been rejected? It seems very late in the game to expect anything else.

May I ask how did SVA and SAIC contacted you? If it was through email, is it the same email address that they send random program ads?

So I was told that the funding you were offered was given verbally during your phone call. Obviously don’t know if that’s completely exclusive to everyone but just sharing was I told!

I got accepted to two programs there. Both sent me a package in the mail and both called me. One program, when they called, told me of the scholarship they were granting me. And then in that package, I had a separate letter outlining the scholarship. Hope this helps!

@cklos @chaosforte I also have an interview coming up with MassArt - mine is for their low-res program.

I am interviewing for photo. They set up a second interview day according to the e-mail.

they had an interview day last week. check your slide room app. if it says "2018 Photo" instead of "2018 Photo MFA" it is unfortunately likely that you are no longer in the running... or this is a giveaway according to past forums.

Yeah email at first for both, and then letter I assume to follow. Though for saic it varies more by program, some were informed via phone first etc

I got a package consisting of two folders; one had my acceptance letter and school paraphernalia and the other had my funding sheet and other info. It seems like different programs roll out things differently (my acceptance letter was dated february 23rd but i got everything March 5th, no phone calls) and I imagine you’ll get your packet soon. Could maybe email someone?

Thank you! I got acceptance exactly one week after my interview. Not sure how the other departments compare in turnaround time. Best of luck with your interview!

For anyone who is interested in MassArt: I called them and all letters were sent out on Tuesday, March 6th (at least for their first round interviews, I guess?). There was a large snowstorm in Boston on Wednesday into Thursday so I'm sure that has held everything up a day or so, but people should be getting letters soon!
