To those waiting for UBC, I am sure they are sending acceptances in waves. We saw someone get accepted on the 16th and another a couple of days ago, and I was accepted yesterday (to Audiology). I wouldn't start panicking until at least mid next week. @Beee25, I am from Edmonton and a bit familiar with UofA SLP admissions. It seems like UofA is always late in sending out their acceptances, so hang in there! I know someone last year who didn't get in until mid April.

Thank you so much, deci:belle and DenverGirl! I was also accepted into UBC in Canada this afternoon . I NEVER imagined I would EVER have this decision to make. It just goes to show, never lose hope! DenverGirl, good luck on your interview this weekend! Just go in relaxed and confident that you've already got it. I know that's easier said than done, though .

LOL, so true! Worse yet, I worked in the kids store and some of the stuff we sold was so inappropriate as well as being ridiculously overpriced. I wish I could include A&F in my list of things that I hate it but I still shop there sometimes .

I have also applied several times. I applied to UBC in 2011 and to UBC, UWO, and Dalhousie last year. I was rejected at UWO and Dalhousie and waitlisted at UBC. Because there are even fewer programs for Audiology in Canada, I decided to apply to the States this year and was accepted to one program so far. Canada is insanely competitive so don't let it get to you if you haven't gotten in yet. Congratulations again CleverUsername, you SO deserve it, especially after applying 4 times!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I just saw your (I think) post in the results search. I'm happy for you! I'm a repeat applicant so I am really hoping for this year! I didn't hear anything, no. Did they say anything about when they will be notifying Audiology?

I had just rolled out of bed and was on my way to the bathroom to get ready when I saw the phone call from Pennsylvania. I freaked out and went searching for my CI (cochlear implant) because I can't hear without it, and returned the call. I couldn't believe my "ears" and asked them to email me. I got the email five minutes later. Still reeling, I really thought I wasn't getting in anywhere!

I can finally contribute to this forum! I've been accepted to Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania! I really thought this wouldn't happen for me because it's so much harder applying as an international student. I CANNOT WAIT to go back to school and make my dreams come true!

I wouldn't do it. I cracked last night and emailed one of my schools that I hadn't heard from and got a generic response that my application was received and still under review. Remember that they don't share our anxiety! -
I so hope I get into UBC because it doesn't look like the American schools want me...I never anticipated being at this point with 0 acceptances and radio silence from 7/10 schools .

I'm not sure if it's the same for your program but I emailed the admissions secretary for Audiology and she said to be considered for the Fall, I need to make sure all of my application materials are in by the end of this week. Apparently they only have a couple more interview dates for the Fall. Good luck!
