  1. It's so awesome to hear people getting some acceptances! Congratulations to all with acceptances and good luck to those who have yet to hear back! I just emailed Toronto asking for an early response and the other school asking for an extension on the offer, so hopefully tomorrow I'll wake up to some emails LOL
  2. Thank you! I really appreciate the perspective--this whole thing has had me sweating!
  3. Thank you! The situation is an acceptance from elsewhere--with a deadline that comes a few weeks before Toronto will even be sending our their own first responses, so I'll take your advice there. Good luck to both of us indeed, especially in your PhD endeavors!
  4. Hi fellow iSchool applicant! I've heard the same thing about Toronto's response timeline. I'm tempted to email them and ask if I could possibly hear back sooner than that, I've run into a bit of a pickle that makes waiting until March quite risky. Anyone have any idea if it would be acceptable to do so? I don't want to put a mark against my application by bothering them.
  5. Nice, best of luck! I believe I read somewhere that they begin sending out acceptances and rejections in early March! Fingers crossed for both of us
  6. Hey there! Nice to hear that someone else has applied! I Just did this month--it took a while to get everything in, but making the early deadline was a priority for me Have you applied yet?
  7. Hi there! I'm applying to University of Toronto and Western University for library and information science! Definitely feeling the stress right now haha!
  8. Hi there! I'm applying to the iSchool for their Library and Information Science program! What about you?
  9. This is such a great idea! All of my documents for my first choice school were finally received yesterday, so now I'm just sweating and Netflixing and trying to motivate myself through the final stages of my other applications. I think I'm stressing more about this because the degree (particularly University of Toronto's) lines up *perfectly* with what I'm passionate about and dream of doing. It's a dream I've been developing for years, though it wasn't until last January that I finally found a way to achieve it. Here's hoping! Until then, I'm trying to relax and enjoy the shows/hobbies/outings with friends that will be more difficult should I begin grad school this fall. My best friend is also applying to all the same programs, though with different focuses, so I'm trying to help him get through applications currently. We make a good team: he keeps me calm, I keep him focused--I'll be truly sad if we wind up at different schools. Either way, all we can do is hope for the best possible outcome! The anxiety is SO REAL though! I saw a mistake I made on my Toronto application and I'm scared it'll take me out of the running! At least I know what to look for when finishing my second application though, so... Silver lining? haha I am LOVING reading how passionate everyone is here! Let's keep the positivity and excitement coming, and best of luck to all of you!
  10. My best friend and I vaguely recall one of the admissions officers at UofT saying they accept ~200 applicants each year, but I'm not positive. Unfortunately, we have no information on Western's admission numbers. My last reference finally submitted to UofT and Western yesterday, so now the real waiting game begins! The anxiety is already building
