I emailed my POI from the interview I had last week at UN-Lincoln. She responded and apologized for the delay and cited the polar vortex-- but she said I am IN!! This is my first acceptance and I am over the moon!

I got an email from my POI at UN-Lincoln and I have been accepted into their Developmental & Learning Sciences PhD!!

Cornell POI told me to keep an eye out for an email from the department and that she would enthusiastically recommend me to the committee. Not sure if the email from the department is about the results of the committee or something else. 

I was contacted by my HD POI at Cornell today also! PM for initials. 

My friend and I are got the idea of organizing a conference on my research topic.

Haha Duke and Missouri. I also feel like they will reject us soon, but maybe it will be a waitlist??

I'm wondering the same thing! Haven't heard back and am dying to know!

Hmmm. More clinical people are getting their official rejections from Duke but I am not clinical and still have not heard anything...

I hate Skype interviews so, so much.

I'm in my senior spring of undergrad and one of the elective classes I'm taking is starting to get on my nerves a little. The professor is unclear about what she wants on assignments and I'm having a hard time motivating myself to do work for the class because I've been devoting so much time to finishing my thesis and preparing for interviews.

I've been using my trusty MacBook Pro retina since 2014 and it's still good. Before that I owned an ASUS laptop with touch screen for only 3 years and it lagged sooo bad. I highly recommend the MBP-- but I'm not so confident in apple's newer models since they're missing USB and HDMI ports, which are super useful for school. On the other hand, I don't have experience working on the newer MBP so I might be mistaken. Good luck!

I’m waiting on duke too!! If we haven’t hear anything, does that mean potential waitlist? Just checked my application portal and still no status update.

This February is going to be a trip for sure. It will be the one year deathiversary of my dog , which also happens to be my birthday. Additionally, Valentine’s Day, which is one of my least favorite holidays. I just really hate the color pink and being single doesn’t help either, but all those who enjoy it, I hope you do! And then on top of that, I’ll probably will be receiving some rejections. I shouldn’t complain since I have an acceptance, but it will still sting. Good luck to you all and don’t forget self-care when you need it!

I'm currently in my fourth and final year in my undergrad (Yeah, I rushed my undergrad aha, uncommon for psychology nowadays). I'm applying to Canadian Clinical Psych programs that are MA/PhD or MSc/PhD, and it has def been nerve-wracking hearing that most people don't get in straight out of undergrad. I've been VERY fortunate as I've already been accepted to a program and am interviewing for 2 others. It CAN be done!!  

I feel like our rejections are on their way.
