Welcome to the process! Each school does things differently, so don't take it as a sign that you won't get an interview if you haven't yet! It's still very early, and many of these schools had deadlines before 12/1 so they began evaluating apps sooner. Some also have rolling admissions, so you could get an interview earlier than normal if you submitted your app early. 
Also, it's not necessarily the case that every school has phone/online interviews before in-person ones. Because Clinical Psych is one of the only psych fields that generally doesn't pay for their interviewees to go to interview days, many programs are starting to do phone interviews to weed out the B team before inviting their first picks to interview. Saves on time and money for us! But not all schools do that. If you haven't heard back yet, try not to worry; it really is very early! I applied to 10 programs and only 2 have invited me for interviews. You have lots of time! After the holidays I'm sure they'll come rolling in. Feel free to DM me if you have any questions! Another thread on clinical and counseling someone posted that they got a phone interview at LSU. I've been in contact with LSU due to an issue with my transcript from a dual-enrollment course I took with a local college in high school and they just advised me to get in contact with the institution as quickly as possible so definitely decisions are still being made but have started. I'd expect to start hearing the next couple of days.

I applied to LSU and haven't heard anything yet either! I'm sure so much of it is dependent on how many applications that PI got, how long it takes them to go through the review process, etc. Based on info from past years, it looks like LSU sends notifications via PIs, not through the grad department or whatever, so there will probably be a considerable difference in when people are hearing back because of that.

Every time I see an email in my inbox I get so excited thinking it might be an application update..it's going to be a long couple of months, my dudes. Working as an RA has been enriching, worthwhile, and a great growth process, but I am SO READY to get back to school. Good luck everyone!! 

They're sending them out with a vengeance today! I got one too. Oh well, here's hoping for faculty with closer research interests and any school that means we don't have to live in Georgia! ?

Hi all. I am currently a first-year student in a Clinical Psychology PhD program and thought I would share this info on the interview for the schools I applied to last year and the interview invitation date/method for the schools I interviewed at. I would have loved something like this last year – I lurked on Grad Café but never created an account or posted so now I want to give back!  Keep in mind, at some schools the POI will contact you directly and at other schools it will be the DCT or an administrative assistant sending out a mass email. This was my FIFTH time applying to Clinical Psych PhD programs and I finally made it so you all definitely can too!! All of this info is for the Clinical Psychology PhD programs for these schools! Does anyone know if there is a google spreadsheet for all the results like there was last year? I remember it being super useful 

I think it depends on the the POI. Last year I had two interviews, one where I had to have a pre-skype interview first, and one where I didn't. Some POIs might want to have a pre-skype interview if you don't  have experience with what they're currently doing just to make sure you can actually succeed in their lab.  

You may have already submitted. I'm very familiar with UMD and the psyc department. They really pride themselves on diversity. I think as long as you have the information in there, you're ok but I would definitely double check to make sure you address diversity.

I applied to 9 schools....this mean I'll have to check the results page for 9 different schools........and I'll probably do that every single day....... ?

Then you are 99.99% fine! I don't think any universities are expected a numbered statement or anything. They want to know how you relay this info in essay form. You good!

Did you address those two questions in some shape or form? My mistake was always following the prompt to the T, answering all prompt questions in a specific order and it caused my OG statements to sound horrible. Advice I was given was you should answer those questions in a narrative, fluid way. All that to say...don't reformat it if you answered those questions in some way!

I didn’t apply either but I just checked and that’s a lot of interview updates?? Also MAYBE I’m paranoid but that seems suspicious so many commentless entries 

No but I guess the sleepless nights can start now.
