Been lurking for a bit, made an account just to post this. For everyone waiting to hear from UW MCB, I called and they informed me all emails relating to applications will go out over a period of two days. I have no idea if this is a good or bad thing for those of us who have yet to receive an email.

Thank you! I'm glad to hear this. Probably didn't make it to the top of the list but at least we still got a chance!

UVA BIMS has sent me an invitation. I'm also waiting on NU DGP, MIT Bio. Good luck!

Has anyone heard from UCLA Biosciences (Cell & Developmental Biology) and Harvard BBS?

UCLA MCGD went out today.

I was told that Harvard BBS will be sending interview invites at the end of this week.

Anyone know when to expect invites from Berkeley MCP, Stanford Biosciences (Biochem), and MIT Biology?

Stanford Biosciences historically sends out late interview invites, I'm not sure if we could expect any before early January. All biosciences interviews are Feb 27th to March 3rd with no other scheduled weekends for all home programs.

FYI, I called Berkeley MCB today and was told the first round of interviews should be sent out by the end of this week. The second round should be sent by ~1/11. I saw results already but am still waiting myself too. Good luck!

This may have already been answered but how does a call for invite work? Will they record a message if they do not get through? I get quite a lot of spam calls so I always hang up an unknown number. Should I be picking up all phone calls while waiting for an invite?

UCSD BMS left me a message and said they'd follow up via email later.

If you don't pick up they'll leave a message and also send a follow-up email. I picked up for mine and it was kinda nice to chat a bit with the guy from admissions, but I think there's no real harm if you miss it. I only picked up because my phone identified the area code as San Diego and I knew that UCSD does phone invites.

Does anyone know if international students (with international degrees) tend to get interview offers later than domestic candidates, or should I assume rejection from UPenn CAMB and WUSTL immunology, etc since I haven't heard back yet.

WUSTL is Washington University in St. Louis yes? One of my lab mates applied there and she was told that final decisions for all applicants are made by mid March. So I'd only be worried if you don't hear back from the program before late Feb.

Edit: It seems like most schools do small batches of applications reviews. I wouldn't give up hope yet.

Hey guys! I applied to Harvard OEB, MIT Bio, Princeton MolBio, and UW-Madison CMB this cycle. Any information about these programs?

I found Princeton and UW-M historically sent out interviews this week or the next while Harvard and MIT usually sent invitations in early- to mid-Jan. And I saw someone has already received the interview invitation from Princeton MolBio.

I'm an international student. I applied to 11 universities - NYU Sackler (Biomedical), UAB Biosciences, Pittsburgh IBGP, UPenn Immuno, UGA ILS, Emory Immuno, UNC BBSP, UMinnesota MICaB, Virginia Biomed, vanderbilt IGP, Uchicago Biosciences. I haven't received any info from any. I'm feeling dejected. Can anyone please help? Or give some motivational and practical stats as to this can happen since I'm an international candidate? (Providing they must be prefering US people first).

PLEASE TELL GUYS!
