Got accepted into HDS with full tuition grant! My head is about to explode from happiness!!!!

Very happy to hear that! I'm glad you got your dream school!

Quick question for everyone: What designates absolute commitment to a school? I paid a deposit for one school indicating my intention to attend but if I get into my top choice I will definitely change my mind and do not want to have mistakenly closed doors to other schools by paying this deposit....

As far as I'm concerned and experienced myself, you're always welcome to change your mind.

I found out about my Yale MDiv acceptance after Duke and had already paid Duke my deposit. When I found out about my acceptance to Yale I paid the deposit there and notified Duke that I had changed my mind and would not be attending - their reply email essentially said ok but that I would not recieve my deposit back which I had already expected.

It, so far, has not affected me at all.

Thank you!!!! It's almost 3AM and I can't sleep because I'm STILL running off of the excitement of finding out fourteen hours ago! Haha!

As for your question, you can always withdraw. The only downside is losing the $$ you put in to reserve a seat.

In at Vanderbilt MTS! I don't really know if I would go because of my spouse and her education/work needs but at least it is in the pool of options nonetheless. Fighting for Duke with everything I have!

I'll be attending BU STH for the MDiv (with the merit scholarship) this fall. Anyone else attending BU??

This is my first post, so hello, everyone :-)

Hahaha, when I went to put my results into the results survey, I spelled Notre Dame "Notre Dmae". Suddenly it all becomes clear why I wasn't accepted!

Thanks, jdmhotness and MsSarahBOOM - it's just such a huge relief to be done waiting! Only one more wait - Yale's financial aid stuff next week - and then I finally get to make a decision! And then I get to go to graduate school! So EXCITING!

But it looks like (pending Yale's financial aid) that I'll be at Boston College in the fall! Does anyone else know / have strong inclinations about where they'll be?

I'll be at HDS. You looking for a roommate? Hahaha!

Congrats!!! I'll be at BU this fall. I'm hoping to take a liberation theology course at Harvard; I hear they offer some great courses on the topic.

I might just have to take that with you - I've heard the same! And thank you! Congrats on BU! :)

To everyone else: is it weird that although I got into my top school, I'm still wondering if I got into UVA or not? Haha, I wonder if they'll ever let me know, hahaha. From what I've heard, they don't even send out rejections for PHD candidates until May! That's ridiculous!

I don't think so. I myself have the opposite situation: admitted into several second choice (but definitely not second rate) schools while I'm on an emotional roller coaster with my beloved first choice, haha. Human curiosity knows no limitations; that's why we're going to graduate school I guess. :)

I'm most likely going to be at the University of Chicago this fall...anyone else?

I'm nearly certain (A.M. in History of Religions). Planning to visit during Prospective at the end of this month?

Yeah, I just bought the tickets this morning! I'm going for the A.M. in Religion and Literature.

The only way I'm not going is if my husband throws up serious objections to moving to Chicago (which I'm sure he won't, given that he's known it was a possibility since August).

I'm glad to know of someone else going! We're coming in from the Southeast and staying the weekend to enjoy the city. Wish hotels in

East Hyde were easier to come by...

Oh my goodness, me too! I made reservations for us at the International House (which is super cheap), only to have them call me to tell me that they made a booking error and they had no room for us. Blahhhhhh.

And of course, my husband is kind of shy and doesn't want to stay in someone's apartment, for fear of "imposing." :P

Hi all! I've been lurking these pages for ages waiting for decisions to come out.

I'll be at HDS in the fall! So excited to be back inter silvas academi again! (Been out for a few years since undergrad... it's a jungle out there!)

No one could've said it better! And goodness, I sure do hope you receive good news from your top choice soon!

they already are, in fact the website will have projections for the year after that even.

Just checked it out! I deferred matriculation last year, so it's been a bit since I was on the website :-). That "anthropology of the religious (part 1 & part 2)" @ HDS (open to BTI students) looks awesome. I'm definitely excited to move to Boston and finally begin at BU!
