To anyone wondering about CSUSB's admission process I called today and they said they were still in review and notifications about their decision would likely be through email since it's so late, but they could come through USPS.

I just made my acceptance official and told two other schools I would not be attending. They were very difficult emails to write, but I hope they allow someone off a waitlist - both had good funding. Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear and to those trying to make difficult decisions between competing offers!

A genuine congratulations to you! However, I think this is a good opportunity to point out that it is not proper etiquette to hold onto more than one offer at a time. Many of us, including myself, are put on multiple waitlists and if people are holding onto multiple offers, this just holds up the whole process for everyone else. If you do have more than one offer, PLEASE do not wait more than one week to make a decision! Your decision affects many other people. Again, congratulations though!

I'd totally disagree. If you're going to make a life altering decision and need more than a week to make your choice, you should wait as long as you need to. I feel for those on the waitlist, but I don't think it's not proper etiquette.

I totally understand and agree with you. I had one of the offers for less than a week and I was told by one of the programs I was accepted to that they do not use a wait list - they just accept a certain number and whoever accepts the offer is their cohort. I do think it is important to be conscientious of those on wait lists and I hope that you get into the school of your choice.

Is anybody still waiting to hear back from Pitt?  I still haven't received word.  Wonder if they just forgot about me, but I am dogmatic about contacting them and risking a triggered rejection.  Would be nice to hear that someone else is still in limbo with me.

This is a good opportunity to point out that you were admitted and you have until April 15th to make your decision. If you are deciding between multiple offers, take as much time as you need. You earned the admissions and deserve to do what you feel is best in whatever way you feel is best. Ignore the people that feel it necessary to tell you how "inconvenienced" they are by your multiple offers.

I'm only pointing out this this backs up the whole system and makes things difficult for the programs themselves as well. If you read any letter sent by a program that states the guidelines, they say that you should not hold onto more than two offers for one week. But I also recognize that this is a life-altering decision. However, your decisions to decline offers also affects the lives of others. This process is already stressful and crazy enough!

Azusa Pacific University...anyone? MA/MFT , Clinical Psych... Anticipating first interview ever , first time applying been waiting years to get it all pulled together. Any feedback from others who have attended group interviews ? What to expect? Best preparation strategies etc? Personal experiences with interviews like these , at APU or elsewhere?

ahhh gotcha! I was wondering if that was the case but I figured school psych would have some sort of similar rule since there is funding involved haha thanks for clearing that up!

I think inconvenience is an understatement when we are talking about people's futures.  I think it is reasonable to request that those people are at least making it priority to reach a decision and not just putting it on the backburner until closer to the deadline.  I don't think they need pressure from alternates to meet a "time frame for decisions," but if you are still completely gridlocked, you may have to make some more time for yourself to sit down and think about it.  Some of us would love to be in that position, but are instead having to engage in distractions while we wait to see if we will even be able to have one option, despite high qualifications.

I know Notre Dame already interviewed and accepted some people for clinical. They have also rejected some people for clinical. I have heard nothing. Does anyone know what's going on with them?

I am having a crazy hard time deciding as well - in particular on whether to drop a waitlist and accept what I have, or whether to wait until April 15th to see if I get off the waitlist.

Just heard back from GSU...it was a negative, ghost rider. GSU's pattern is full. About 600 applicants for maybe 35 slots.

Hi, I'd like some advice on where to go from here. I'm in a bad situation because I'm currently in a program I'm not interested in. I'm currently 3rd yr bio specialist but i've developed a passion for psych over the years of my undergrad. I'd like to eventually apply to I/O graduate program
cGPA= 2.74. (however for my 5 psych courses that I took. One mark was a B, and the others were A/A+s. Do schools look at psych gpa specifically in any case? also note that I'm Canadian).
I'm contemplating between switching to a psych program for next year (4th yr) and maybe take an extra year to boost gpa and finish any courses required for that program. Any opinions on this? What's the best course of action at this point. I need some realistic goals.

You might want to start your own thread for this.  This is a tad off topic and you likely won't see many helpful replies since people here are mostly posting about admissions results (especially with April 15th only a week or so away).
