You have good solid stats. It's too early to feel hopeless! One thing to remember is that very few people get accepted into every program they apply to and almost everyone is going to feel the sting of a rejection. Hang in there and good luck!

Hi! Thanks for your encouragement! Tennesse was supposed to be my "safety" school which i intitally thought that if all my schools dont accept me, Tennesse will! haha i guess there is no this thing called safety school! Im really worried because most of my schools that i applied are very competitive and my supposedly not that competitve schools are equally competitive! Haha good luck to you too!

Omg those numbers are crazy!! That is highly discouraging :( Well I hope I at least get in to one school! That is all I need.

Yeah, Portland was supposed to be my "safety" school but I guess schools are only getting more competitive everywhere with the increasing applicants every year! I really hope I get in somewhere the first time around..

That's pretty much the same mentality I have! All I need is one acceptance!! *fingers crossed*

did anyone apply to murray state?  the e-mail when I submitted my application said we should know towards the end of February but last year they didn't tell anyone until the end of march?

Great! Good for you and good luck. I did not get an interview but rather an email from CSUSM staying:

"The Admissions Board has completed its review of applications and has made its selection for the first

round of interviews. If you have not received email notification indicating that you were selected for an

interview, we will update you on the status of your application by March 4th."

I was wondering and wanted to get peoples's thoughts on if you feel that basically I am rejected at this point or not? What do you think they mean when they say "...the first round of interviews..."  Does that mean there is still hope for me or not?  Does that mean that there will be another around of interviews or am I simply reading to much into this? Thanks.

I'm sorry to hear that. I really have no idea but my first thought was that it meant it depends on how the interviews go and if they get enough applicants they like. I know several people that were invited to the interview but won't be attending because they have another interview to attend the same day and are trying to schedule an online interview. If you didn't have a chance I'm not sure why they wouldn't have just said "unfortunately we have made our selections for interviews". Hang in there!

Did anyone else apply to Bowling Green? I think we all got the email about hearing back by the end of February... really really hoping that happens.

Thanks for the helpful advice and kinds words. I have been down about it but your words offer words of encouragement and hope. Your right in that if they had definitely made all their decisions they would have said so like you said. I will try to hang in there like you say. Thanks for the pep talk! I really do appreciate it!

Does anyone know how being an out of state student or a Canadian student affects you during the admissions process? Whether you're more or less likely to get in, or whether they actually care?

I noticed that you're applying to University of North Dakota (me too!). I know that they usually accept a good number of Canadian students. As for other places, I don't know.

Kinda random, but I'd just like to say that the friendliness/helpfulness displayed in this forum makes me even more excited to work amongst you guys in this field. March is slowly creeping up on us so good luck to all of you! May you all get into at least one school!

Anyone else apply to University of Montevallo? I saw on the results page someone got an interview. I didn't even know they did interviews.

I saw that, and wasn't aware of this either!

I have not received an interview notice either but I called graduate admissions and the person I spoke with said most everyone will be notified to have an interview and that they will be holding interviews until March 31st.. Honestly I was still sort of confused after talking to him..

Is there anyone that has applied to James Madison online program?

I did, but will withdraw my application. Only thing I heard was from CSDCAS saying I was missing a transcript (I took one summer class 18 years ago at a community college and totally forgot about it  ). I already got into my preferred school so I'm not wasting my time on dealing with it. Doing an online program is really tempting though!

I just got accepted to NYU but know relatively little about the program. I did research online but haven't had the chance to visit. If anyone here can tell me their impressions about the academics, research, clinical work, overall vibe, financial aid etc. I will be very grateful! Thanks!

I just received a response from my first school today... and I got into the University of South Florida! I am so happy to have 1 acceptance to calm my nerves for the rest of my applications.
