  1. Congratulations!!! I went to their Open House and they mentioned it is a bit fast paced because they want to see how fast you could work and think. There is also a section where you are with other potential applicants and you are in a room and have to solve something (a specific case they give you). They also mentioned that you will be interviewed by various faculty and go in separate rooms (each faculty will be sitting in a room and then you move on to the next one). I did not end up applying to Sacred Heart but I hope this helps. I would wear dress pants and a nice top because after all it is like a "job" interview and you have to show them how professional you are. I am sure if you do a search you will find previous years applicants that share their experience. Best of luck!!
  2. I have an interview with Mercy on 2/15.
  3. Hello everyone, I live in the NYC area as well. I applied (from schools in the NYC area) CUNY Queens, Lehman, Brooklyn, St. Johns, Hofstra, Teachers College (Columbia), LIU Post, Molloy, Touro, and Mercy. Mercy has started sending out invitations for interviews. Most schools I believe you start hearing back after mid/end February. I know Hofstra and St. Johns don't require an interview, not sure about TC. Best of luck!
  4. I would definitely contact them, see what they say and then contact the school and let them know what happened.
  5. Hi, it has never happened to me but i would definitely call the school, don't wait for them to email you back because it will take forever for them to respond. Good luck!!
  6. Hello everyone, I noticed that some people got graduate assistantship offers when they go accepted to the program. Does anyone know if they had to apply for a GA positions or they offer it to you when you get accepted.
  7. Thank you!!! I am applying for Fall 2018!
  8. Does anyone know if Kean has interviews? and how do they let you know if you are accepted or not in the program (email or phone)? Since the application is through CSDCAS. Thank you!!!
  9. Hi everyone and good luck on your graduate applications. I have a double major in Communication Sciences & Disorders and Sociology Which programs I am applying to: La Salle, Kean, Teachers College (Columbia), Lehman, Queens College, Brooklyn, Molloy, Mercy, Touro, LIU Post, St. Johns, Hofstra, New Paltz, Plattsburgh Where I am from: New York (but born and raised outside of the U.S.) Biggest concern about my applications: I would say my GREs, they are not in the 150s range. If anyone has any information to share about these schools (interviews, stats, etc) I would greatly appreciate it!!!
  10. I used it, but I made a mistake and purchased it before I actually manually put in my grades. I can't say it is worth it--better save the money on that.
  11. Thank you so much for getting back to me, this was very helpful!!! Good luck in your graduate studies
  12. Can anyone tell me what type of questions were asked? And if you got the Diversity Fellowship. It is one of my top choices, and I know they accept like 20 people.
  13. I would retake the GREs if I were you, most schools accept writing score from 3.5 and up. I used Magoosh as well and loved it!
