Hey everyone,
I received an admissions offer for the extended program this past Friday! I submitted my application on the Jan 3rd deadline for anyone wondering. Ecstatic to get accepted but also panicking because it would be such a drastic change for me to go to Seattle (I'm currently in southern California). Moving, apartment, job, etc. Headache. Turns out applying was the easy part!

Then recieved a phone call from one of the professors there asking if I would come without funding. After I said no, he proceeds to tell me he read one of my four published articles and literally starts critiquing it and telling me the results dont mean anything and how I am not going to get an assistantship. Totally unprofessional. sh** School, sh** program.

I got the email about loans from Office of FinAid, but nothing yet about departmental scholarships. 

That’s awesome!!!! Good for you! Congrats! Looking through this forum, it seems that BU doesn’t give a lot of scholarships, so I am really happy for you. I am sure you worked really hard to get here! And as for me, I didn’t get into UC Berkeley, BU has given me nothing but loans, but BC gave me 20k/year, so I am thinking that I will most likely be attending BC next year unless something wild happens with BU’s aid. I see you live in California also, what are you thinking?

I just called yesterday and the department said that we should be hearing back about financial aid by the end of March so I’m hoping soon! 
Anyone planning to go to the meetup on April 6th?

I applied on January 15th and I haven't heard yet. They said to expect a decision between mid to late March.

UCLA is awful at getting back to anyone. I've e-mailed and called numerous times, and still didn't receive a response. I've been trying to reach out to them since the beginning of February, but still nothing. It's actually really pissing me off because a friend of mine was accepted when her GRE and GPA were significantly lower than mine, and she has 2 years less experience in the field. I'm itching to know why!! The least they can do is give you an explanation as to why they didn't accept you, after charging a ridiculous application fee. -___- so. annoying.

Nope! I hope they come out soon. The financial aid office said aid should be announced via email sometime "in the next couple weeks" during March. I am anxiously waiting to see whether I am qualified for work study or other forms of aid. 

I've been accepted to the Day program today!

Thank you! I applied on the last week of December and got my acceptance via email around 4:30 pm PST.
