Thanks, @dormcat. That makes sense! I guess I don't have a suit, then, technically, and I've worn slacks and a blazer to interviews. I'm with @Central Perk. Adult fashion is too hard. If I could get away with wearing jeans and a t-shirt every day, I totally would.

Turns out someone WAS reading my application when I replied to this. I left for lunch and came back and had a email asking for a phone interview! Now I have something concrete to focus on. Also, word games may be the only way I'm maintaining sanity. -

I'm with you. I felt better when I had applications to submit. At least something was in my control. Yesterday, I spent an hour checking all my application status pages to make sure everything was received even though I've already done that and knew it was. Today, I'm worrying that my SOP wasn't good enough. At least you're not alone? -
You can still ask your creative writing professors for a letter. They should be able to speak to your ability as a student, even if it's in another field. Do you have any previous or current supervisors who could write you a letter as well? Especially someone who could speak to your interpersonal skills. You can sell your bachelors the same way, as there is a lot of writing and critical thinking in psychology. I would frame it as you want to apply these skills to a field that is better suited to your goals or something to that effect.
