Hello! I’m new to this forum but I’ve been reading it from afar for months ? but anyways I applied to 9 schools, got into BGSU (yay!), got rejected from 4 others and waiting to hear from Western Michigan University, University of Montana, Rutgers Newark, and Purdue. I think of what’s left, Purdue is my top choice and BGSU trails very close behind. But Purdue is driving me crazy because they are taking so long to roll out any decisions. Has anyone heard from them? I’m honestly getting kind of discouraged by all of the rejections, but I have to keep reminding myself that all that matters is I got into at least one! I’m fresh out of undergrad and just started creative writing seriously like a little over a year ago, so im

not surprised places like Hopkins rejected me! Anyway, if anyone has heard anything about Purdue please let me know!! And if anyone else is considering BGSU let me know:)

Hi, I am an international poetry applicant. 3 questions:

1. What's the poetry course at Sarah Lawrence College like? Accepted but with very little funding.

2. Waitlisted by NYU. What has waitlist movement been like in the past? By when can I definitely expect a decision one way or another?

3. Typical sources of funding for international applicants?

Haven't posted before but it's been a wonderful source of support reading messages in this community. Was rejected by Brown a few hours ago, so really hoping one of my other options works out!

Just got off the phone with New School, they're still in the process of sending out acceptances (for poetry).

Do you happen to know if they meant just yesterday, or if they're sending out more this week?

Columbia offers very little funding. From what I've heard, only a couple people in the program receive full funding.

Sorry, dude... I hope Hunter comes through.

I'm not sure if you applied in Fiction or poetry but my friend just accepted a fiction offer there, she had been wait listed originally. I believe there are more Purdue results posted on the results board, so it's worth checking that and sending them an email, though I also know their campus is closed for the virus currently. Congrats on getting into BGSU!

I applied for fiction; that's great for her! I'm definitely leaning towards BGSU, Purdue just beats it out because it has a much better stipend. But yeah I emailed Purdue the other day and they gave me a non-answer, but I didn't even think about the coronavirus closing campus that's actually helpful info. And thank you!

Had the most amazing phone call today and I am fully funded with a $25k gift at UMKC!! Definitely the top choice right now, but still wondering about UC Irvine and Riverside. I am a very happy girl after the partial scholarships from other programs. April 15th is coming up so quickly and I still need to hear from 6 schools and it looks like visits will be near impossible, STRESS.

I saw that but it seems strange to me. I’ve only seen one UCI acceptance across all genres.

They make you promise to keep it quiet or something.
