Hey everyone! I haven't seen many posts about SFU or UBC in this thread. Did anyone else apply? I'm anxiously refreshing my application portal every day... even though I know there likely won't be any updates until mid-March at the earliest ?

I applied to SFU! Waiting anxiously here as well!

Hi! I saw someone posted that they were admitted to the Psychology program at UofA, has anyone heard from them regarding counselling psychology? Thanks!

I am waiting as well! I would also be curious to know if anyone heard anything.

Just to the Psychology MA program (not counselling psychology!). I just searched University of Alberta in the results search bar.

Ohh okay thank you for clarifying, clearly I did not read your comment well enough! Out of curiosity, has your application status changed at all?

Hey all, thought I'd check in again: any updates from Guelph CFT applicants?

I haven't heard anything yet. My status still shows "All Documents Received"

I saw one post mentioning they received an invitation for an interview from Western. Has anyone else received anything?

I received an invitation for an interview  on February 11.

Found out the total number of candidates for UofT OISE M.Ed Counselling Psyc this year is 781..

UofT told me that they accepted 35 students last year and will be the same this year. 35 from 781 is around 4.54%....acceptance rate of Harvard is 4.6%....haha...idk what to say

Has anyone applied to McGill? Internship program?

My status switched to "In Review" on Friday and now I'm chewing my fingernails off in anticipation. ?

Mine also switched to "In Review" last week! I don't think there are interviews for the program this year, so I guess we just have to wait till March/April ?

Just got an email from U of A informing me that I’m on the waitlist for counselling psychology (thesis route)...

oh my..

Do you know if this is a normal amount of applicants or do you think it might be higher because of COVID?

I am just assuming that some people may give it a try to apply for graduate school when it is difficult to find jobs during the pandemic...

last year was around 510 applicants. 2017 was 480. So I guess it's been somewhere around there in the previous years.

agreed. I'm assuming a lot of those people who chose to apply after losing jobs have compatible work experience etc.  # of first choice candidates is very high - 480. This will be a competitive game.
